and the faults of the listener. Among them, there are two kinds of faults of the speaker: speaking without the Buddha's permission, and making close offerings. There are also two kinds of faults of the listener: appearing attached by thinking "I am of a high caste, and you are of a low caste," the fault of having many thoughts about the Dharma, and the fault of not respecting the speaker. Now, first, I will show that the speaker, myself, has no faults. I do not speak without the Buddha's permission, nor do I make close offerings, but I only speak through the power of the Buddha. As it is said in the sutra, "Listen to everything." Therefore, in order to completely eliminate the two faults of the listener, it is indicated by "respectfully to them," in order. If you vow to speak in this way, will you speak extensively, or will you speak briefly? I cannot speak extensively, but I will speak briefly. However, I will explain all of its meanings, which is the vow of the third verse: "The wisdom to be entered into is like that." Among them, the wisdom to be entered into is the entry into wisdom by indicating the ground. Mentioning "completely without omission" indicates that the vast meaning, no matter how much, is contained within. "Abiding as it is" refers to abiding as it is, in the manner established by the Tathagata. "Listen with respect" has already been said. Because it has not been said how to be respectful, therefore, in order to explain this, it says, "Prepare with respect." Among them, preparing should be understood as two types. Preparing the body is what kind of behavior makes one suitable for listening. Preparing the mind is what kind of non-distracted mind makes one suitable for receiving. This includes that preparing the body is respect, preparing the mind is also respect, and the two preparations. "I have spoken well" indicates that I do not have manifest pride. "By the power of the Buddha" indicates that there is no pride. The latter half of the verse: Dharma with complete metaphors, reasonable and balanced words.

"The sacred word will be explained." What does this mean? It means what is explained, that is, the sacred Dharma; by what is it explained? By sound; how is it explained? By example and with reasoning; upon what does it rely? Upon letters. All of this should be well explained, that is the meaning. Among them, the meaning of "appropriate" should be understood as having reasoning. The equality of letters is in two ways: how someone's language is, the letters are equal to it; and the meaning is understood by how many words and letters are appropriately without excess or deficiency. It has already been taught by the power of the Victorious One, but it has not been shown what that power is. Therefore, the fifth verse shows it. Although it is very difficult to express in words, what is the immeasurable power of the Sugata? The body of light has entered me, by its power, I am able to explain. Thus it is said. After that, begin to explain the ground. When explaining this ground, what should be shown? That is, abiding, the definitive word, and supremely abiding. Among them, what is the place of abiding? Why abide? What is the basis? And what kind of mind arises by abiding on the first ground, that is abiding. Chapter Three. This place of abiding is "O sons of the Victorious One, here, sentient beings have accumulated great roots of virtue," etc., shown by ten sets of four-line verses. Among them, for the time being, where does this mind arise when abiding? That is, "sentient beings have accumulated great roots of virtue, accumulated great merit, practiced great conduct, greatly served the appearance of the Buddha, collected great white Dharma, taken great virtuous friends, the mind is extremely pure, possessing superior vast aspiration, possessing faith in the vast, love and compassion manifest," shown by these ten. This accumulation should also be understood in nine ways, that is, because of well-doing the discipline with its retinue. What is the accumulation of merit for? That is, what is said, "accumulated great merit." Because of well-doing the samadhi with its retinue, what is the accumulation of conduct for? That is, what is said, "practiced great conduct," because this is the time of practicing on the object, samadhi is conduct. The wisdom arising from hearing is good.
