Those who proclaim that by acting permissively, one will quickly attain the siddhi of Mahamudra, will fall into the lower realms. Because they slander the teachings of the Tathagata, defile pure conduct, cause the decline of the Buddha's teachings, engage in fierce actions, and are defeated by consorting with women. The glorious Yeshe Drakpa said: 'We yogis are permitted by the Bhagavan.' They make loud secret sounds and act permissively in all their conduct; these people will fall into the lower realms. My guru, the mendicant Sonam Yawa Dawa, also said: 'If one holds onto these two empowerments, both the teacher and the disciple will fall into the lower realms.' In the great tantra, 'The Prophecy of the Intentions of the Bhagavan,' it says: 'Those without the yogic key points act like those without a hook. They say, "I am a yogi," but practice dharma with deceit. Through the combination of mantras and mudras, they make a living. Even for slight faults, they engage in fierce actions. Knowing only a little about the methods of practice, they explain the great tantras. Wherever they can gain something, they teach the sacred Dharma.' And so on, many things were said. Similarly, the glorious Padma Dorje also spoke of many such faults, saying: 'Such people and those like them are all practitioners of evil deeds. Having entered a path that is not sacred, they will go to hell.' So he said. Although there are many sources, the text would become too long. Such people should be stopped with compassion. Furthermore, some here say: 'If one does not understand the great ways of Secret Mantra, what is the use of practicing the Secret Mantra Vehicle? One should enter the pure paths of the Paramitas, the Hearers, and the Solitary Buddhas.' Like this, consorting with women leads to the downfall of non-celibacy, and engaging in fierce actions leads to the downfall of killing, so one should not enter these paths. They slander without understanding the intent of the tantras.

Those are profound and vast, the realm of those with sharp faculties, the realm of some who are fortunate, possess habits and karmic connections, having become the essence of the Buddha's teachings, therefore, to slander such a one will certainly cause sentient beings to go to hell, do not doubt this. Because one has slandered the teachings of the Thus-Gone One, and abandoned the profound Dharma. The ripening of the karma of abandoning the Dharma is as stated in the Sutra of Noble Thorough Cutting: "If one says that some dharmas are good and some are bad, that is abandoning the Dharma," etc., because one has not seen many dharmas. The Lama Bhikshu Sönam also said: "Therefore, do not despise the Secret Mantra Vehicle, saying that it is spoken by demons. Abandonment of all vehicles will also obtain the Great Seal in this place." Thus he said. Such a person should be taken care of with a mind of compassion. Slander is also of two types: slandering the Dharma and slandering a person. Among these, one should not slander the Dharma. As stated in the Sutra Requested by Noble Light-Preserver: "For those profound dharmas that cannot be understood by wisdom, the enlightenment of the Buddha is limitless, and for sentient beings with different inclinations, the Thus-Gone Ones begin to teach the Dharma. The Thus-Gone One himself knows, my own nature does not know, the Thus-Gone One is manifest," etc., one should read it in the sutra itself. Furthermore, in all sutras and tantras, I have seen this meaning. One should also not slander a person. As stated in the Sutra of Noble Encouragement of Higher Intention and the Sutra of Noble Teaching of the Non-Arising of All Dharmas: "Except for me and those similar to me, no one should judge another, otherwise they will decline." Its faults are also seen many times in the sutras. From the meaning of the twelve verses beginning with the Great Tantra of the First Buddha, I relied on the instructions of my guru, the Bhikshu Sönam and the Golden Island. The Lama said, in the teaching called "Certain Explanation of Empowerment": "There are two types of empowerment, relying on the side of householders."
