Experiencing external and internal objects, There is also the consciousness that clings to them. Or, from beginningless time, Lying in a deep sleep of ignorance. The dream of the four habitual tendencies, Also experiences clinging in it. If we analyze the ultimate truth, Due to the nature of phenomena, Those erroneous thoughts, Cannot prove existence or non-existence. For example, if a severe eye disease is not cured, One cannot eliminate the appearance of hair-like streaks. When the eye disease is cured, One cannot produce the appearance of hair-like streaks. For example, if the sleep of ignorance awakens, One cannot see dreams. As long as sleep has not awakened, One cannot eliminate dreams. When the disease of blurred vision is cured, And when one awakens from sleep, Hair-like streaks and dreams, And the consciousness that clings to them do not exist. Similarly, when the eye disease of ignorance, And the deep sleep of ignorance awaken, All appearances and conceptualizations, And the consciousness that experiences them do not exist. Saying constant or discontinuous, Whatever exists is discontinuous. This does not exist in the nature of phenomena, It is merely the delusion of ordinary people. Therefore, the teacher Shantideva, Does not accept nihilism here. Saying that it is without oral instructions, It is the doctrine of nihilism. There is nothing to be removed from this, And there is nothing to be established. Look at reality as it is, By seeing reality, one becomes liberated. The tenets of self and others, Some assert that phenomena exist, Others say that phenomena do not exist. If we analyze reality, So-called existence and non-existence, Do not exist on the edge of reality. Therefore, nothing can be proven. Those who are separated from the lineage of the guru, With the wisdom of inference, Even if they prove existence, non-existence, permanence, discontinuity, etc., It is only in vain and cannot touch the real meaning. Like Dharmakirti, Dharmottara, etc., How many treatises have been made? It is for refuting the arguments of the tirthikas (non-Buddhists), Made by the wise. Therefore, for meditating on the ultimate truth, There is no need for valid cognition ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa, ಪ್ರಮಾಣ), Because I have already explained it elsewhere, So for now, there is no need to say more here. Therefore, abandoning those that mainly rely on inference, The tenets of logic, One should meditate on the lineage instructions of, The noble Nagarjuna's doctrine. Neither existent, nor non-existent, nor both existent and non-existent, Nor neither existent nor non-existent, Liberated from the four extremes, That truth is known by the Madhyamika.

Not permanent, not annihilation, not permanent and annihilation. Not even neither of the two. Liberated from the four extremes. That is what the Madhyamika realizes. Transcending views such as existence and non-existence, Completely abandoning permanence and annihilation. Liberated from the knower and the known. This is the treatise of the Great Madhyamika. Mainly relying on subsequent inferences, Although speaking of existence, non-existence, permanence, annihilation, etc., It does not follow the nature of phenomena. It is merely addition and defamation. For example, gold and the sky, Water, etc., are pure in nature, Although they appear to be accompanied by faults, They do not follow the faults. Completely abandoning addition and defamation, Definitely liberated from all additions, Only that should be meditated upon, Do not abide on the edge of any doctrine. Noble Nagarjuna, Noble Aryadeva, Chandrakirti, Buddhapalita, Shantideva, Only meditate on the oral instructions of the lineage. If there is no lineage, Then repeatedly read, The treatises composed by them. All dharmas have the gate of A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无), Originally unborn and unceasing, By nature, it is nirvana, By nature, it is completely pure. Even if seen, it is not truly seen, The seer, the seen, and the act of seeing, The object of sight and knowledge do not exist, The capable one always abides in equipoise. Completely abandoning all conceptual thoughts, When abiding in the realm of dharma, For the wisdom of the Great Yoga, Arising and entering are not desired. Therefore, equipoise and subsequent attainment are good, We do not desire to become Buddhas. The teaching of abiding on the ground, Is explained in the non-conceptual dharani. This meaning is not elaborated here, To my guru who holds the treatises, After making offerings with service, etc., You should repeatedly inquire. Prophesied by the all-knowing one, Transmitted from Noble Nagarjuna, Following the footsteps of Bodhibhadra, No doctrine should be grasped. Thus, after establishing that all dharmas are unborn through reasoning, now, from the perspective of scriptural authority, it is shown that all dharmas are unborn. Thus, the Bhagavan With knowledge, etc., should be examined at the root. Moreover, the Bhagavan also taught this meaning in other sutras, as it is said in the Noble Sutra on Revealing the Undifferentiated Nature of All Dharmas: If the realm of dharma is taken as the standard, then the meaning.
