Approaching the noble ones and not doing what is not to be done, thus it is said. Also, in the Sutra of Completely Destroying Doubt, it is said: Faith is the forerunner of all virtuous dharmas. In this, by what faith does one develop faith? Like this, the Tathagata possesses unobstructed wisdom vision. The dharma taught by him is difficult to see, difficult to know, and reveals profound and vast teachings. In that, there is no eye, nor cessation of the eye; no ear, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind, nor cessation of the mind; no abiding, nor non-abiding; no sound, nor non-sound. With words held by the melodious voice possessing sixty qualities, letters, the action of speech is completely pure, the mind is completely clear, the body is completely active, showing various colors, the Tathagata has no unknowing, unseeing, unheard, unmanifested, or unenlightened state. The eyes of the Tathagata are completely pure, possessing all eyes, free from attachment, abandoning hatred, becoming without existence, well destroying ignorance, the physical eyes are immeasurable, the crown of the head is invisibly supremely elevated, the sound is profound, proclaiming the ultimate truth, becoming unsurpassed by all the Buddha's dharmas. Whoever has realization, faith, and does not abandon such Buddha's dharmas, that is faith, thus it is said. It comes from the Sutra of Generating the Power of Faith. Manjushri, what is the power of faith? By what faith does one generate complete faith, admiration, belief, without doubt or hesitation in all the Buddha's dharmas, that is faith. To have complete faith in actions and the ripening of actions. Without turbidity is faith in the mind. To have faith in the emptiness of all dharmas, signlessness, wishlessness, and non-action. To have faith in generosity and the fruit of generosity, discipline and the fruit of discipline, patience and the fruit of patience, diligence and the fruit of diligence, meditation and the fruit of meditation, wisdom and the fruit of wisdom.

Thus it is said. Moreover, it is stated in that (sutra): The characteristic of faith is faith, that is, whatever is devotion to the Mahayana, this is called the power of faith. Whatever is without attachment, comprehension, the faculty of faith, and the power of faith, this is called faith. Furthermore, the power of faith is faith, by which faith Faith in the voice of others. What is the voice of others of a Bodhisattva? It is hearing from others that which causes (others) to truly take hold of the mind of enlightenment. Hearing from others the conduct of a Bodhisattva, the mind of enlightenment, intention, application, perfections, skillful means, the objects of gathering, the Dharma of the Buddha, and the Dharma of the Bodhisattva, that is, after hearing the voice of others, generating manifest faith, this is called faith. Also in the Bodhisattva Pitaka it is said: Shariputra, here, a Bodhisattva generates the mind of enlightenment with superior intention, and that is faith. Faith increases, desiring to see the noble ones, desiring to hear the true Dharma. He generates manifest faith in actions and the ripening of actions. He abandons the paths of the ten non-virtuous actions and dwells, properly taking hold of the paths of the ten virtuous actions. That faithful one hears much about the properly gone and properly entered ascetics and Brahmins, strives in hearing, strives greatly in proper attention, transcends doubt, and also knows that the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Shravakas of the Buddhas who arise, decay, and are complete are virtuous friends. Having faith, he attends to them and makes them happy. Those virtuous friends also show him actions and the ripening of actions. Recognizing him as a vessel, they speak profound words, such as emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-action, unborn, and unarisen words, as well as words of no self, no sentient being, no life, and no person, and also speak of dependent origination. Having heard, he does not doubt and enters into all dharmas without attachment. He is not attached to aggregates, elements, and sources. All dharmas are empty by nature.
