Without the seed, it is like a sprout withering. Moreover, because there is no creator, it is explained by the words "objects and so on appear." There is also no very clear appearance. As it is said, appearance is a sign, it is the cause of bondage, so no sign arises, this is the meaning. Now, to show that the sign of the mind is not perceived, it is said to be "non-form." Among them, the ability to function is momentary, so the moment should be divided. Among them, the past is non-existent because the thing has perished. If it exists, it will become the present. The future is non-existent because the thing has not been born. If it exists, it will not become the future as it is now. Therefore, it is said that "the present mind is very difficult to examine." Difficult to examine is because there is nothing to be seen even if you try. Being free from color and shape is being free from blue and yellow, etc., and long and short, etc. Being free from one and many is because one and many cannot be observed, as said elsewhere. Unborn is because existence and non-existence are unborn. Self-nature is clear light because it does not discriminate itself, and being free from defilement is self-nature clear light. Saying "etc." is because it is free from the four extremes of birth, or self, other, and both, and causelessness, etc., and in reality, it transcends the extremes of existence and non-existence, like an illusion. The so-called "sword of reason" is that reason itself is like a sword, which can cut off and destroy. In the Ornament of Wisdom Light, it is also said: "The Buddhas never, always all dharmas, have not attained the mind and know the dharma, I salute and praise the objectless." It is said so. Knowing that it is not established is through the knowledge of combination. Thus, the so-called two are not established in any nature, which is shown by samadhi. The two are form and non-form. Not established means not established in the ultimate sense, which is to prevent the discrimination of others. The so-called wisdom of individual discrimination itself is also not established, which is to prevent the discrimination of self-nature. Wisdom is the difference of things, if things are not established, then wisdom itself is also not established.

If the tree is not formed, it is like blocking Shapa and others. That is like the fire that burns what is to be burned, and what is to be burned does not remain after being burned. Like that, and again, as stated above in a summarized way, if the mind is not formed, then what arises from the mind cannot be formed either, just like the sun and its rays. Because the mind is thus blocked, what arises from the mind is also eliminated. That is the meaning. For example, from the rubbing of two pieces of wood, the cause of fire arising, etc., is explained from the perspective of scriptural authority. Discriminating wisdom is like fire, and all thoughts are said to be like firewood, as it is said in the scriptures: All phenomena of samsara are consciousness, Should be considered as firewood for fire, Thus, truly and well discriminate, If burned by fire, it turns to peace. And "In the fire of discriminating wisdom, burning all non-virtuous thoughts," etc. What is called self-characteristic and general characteristic, the general characteristic is emptiness and selflessness, etc. The self-characteristic is joy and suffering, etc. That wisdom itself is the wisdom of equipoise itself. Absence of appearance is being free from the thoughts of self and other. That is also like: When the knower and the known, Their own nature is no longer seen, Then, because signs do not arise, Abiding in reliance does not arise. This is also shown by this. Luminosity is because of being naturally pure. Freedom from extremes is being free from permanence, annihilation, etc. Not being established in anything is not being established as one or many, or anything else. Sinking and excitement, etc., are all faults of samadhi, among which sinking is inner dullness, and excitement is mental distraction, etc., which also include other signs. At that time, that is, at the time of equipoise. Not grasping at anything is because of being free from the thoughts of grasper and grasped. Abandoning all memory and attention is abandoning thoughts focused on the past and future, abandoning forms, sounds, etc. The enemy of discrimination, or the enemy of thieves, or like thieves, because they steal the wealth of samadhi, they are enemies, therefore, they should be abandoned by the guard of mindfulness. That is also as it is said in the scriptures: The wild elephant of the mind, if let loose,
