It is said: On the stable pillar of the object of focus, having bound it firmly with the rope of mindfulness, gradually subdue it with the hook of wisdom. In terms of convention, if one focuses on the Great Mother, it is like preventing the distinction of hair standing on end. Therefore, having accumulated the two accumulations, it is not appropriate to generate the appearance of duality. If it is said that the Bhagavan, like a magician, knows illusion as illusion and does not develop attachment to it as reality, therefore he is not mistaken, then if that is the case, then those who speak of self also know the self as the eternal self, and the Hearers also know things as things, and those who speak of Mind-Only also know self-awareness as ultimate reality, and if it is said that they are not mistaken, then what should be said? If it is said that the self and so on do not abide in the knowable, because they are harmed by valid cognition and are not established by valid cognition, therefore they are merely imputed, so grasping onto them becomes a mistake. But illusion alone is established by valid cognition and is not harmed by valid cognition, so knowing it as it is does not become a mistake? This is not reasonable, because abiding like an illusion in the knowable of non-inverted wisdom is not established anywhere. Just as blurred vision and so on do not abide in the knowable of non-mistaken knowledge. If it is said that if one does not know according to how things appear, then it will not become the wisdom of omniscience? If that is the case, then illusory horses and blurred vision and so on do not appear to the direct perception of flawless senses, so it will become non-direct perception. Therefore, falsehood is not appropriate for wisdom that has abandoned delusion. If falsehood appears, then that wisdom itself will also become delusion, like knowing a mirage as water. If it is not like that, then that object will also become a real thing, and no knowledge will become delusion. Therefore, in ultimate wisdom, where does the characteristic of dualistic appearance arise? Dualistic appearance and characteristic, delusion, are only different in name, but the meaning is not different. As it says in the sutra: Subhuti, form is a characteristic, sound is a characteristic. And again, The samadhi of the Buddha, the great sage, and the sons of the Victorious Ones, is completely devoid of characteristics. The characteristics of the worlds are...

Etc., like that. If one is afraid of the fear of doubting the absence of conventional truth, if the conventional truth does not appear to wisdom, will the appearance become clear? That is unreasonable. Because non-appearance cannot be completely contained by clarity, it will become unclear. For the consciousness of unimpaired senses, the second moon and cataracts, etc., do not appear, just as that consciousness cannot make them clear. If one examines with wisdom and prajna, then truth and falsehood, existence and non-existence, no dharma exists, so it is called the extremely non-abiding Madhyamaka. As it is said: Whoever's mind is from existence and non-existence, completely transcends and does not abide, they should meditate properly on the meaning of dependent origination, which is profound and without characteristics. As it is said. This also explains the order of hearing and thinking. Other than that, all conventional truths exist in the realm of nominal validity (the validity of conventional truth), so it is not a negation. Samadhi is one-pointedness of mind on the object of focus, and it immediately becomes the unobstructed causal power for accomplishing the inconceivable three bodies. After realization, it means that after attaining the state of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, although enlightened with equality, the differences in wisdom are different, but they are also one taste and one entity in the nature of the Dharmadhatu. Just as the differences in the waters of the Ganges, Indus, and Boxa, etc., are different, but they are also one taste and one entity in the nature of the great ocean. As it is said: Because the Dharmadhatu has no difference, differences in caste are unreasonable, as it is said. Relying on the differences in dharmas, the differences are explained in detail. There is no subsequent attainment because no characteristics arise. Time refers to before and after, etc. Remaining in equanimity is because one has not moved from the Dharmadhatu. As it is said: Even when an elephant sits, it sits in equanimity, even when an elephant stands, it stands in equanimity. Like that. If it is not like that, it means that if the characteristics of dualistic appearance arise. No difference means remaining on the path of learning, no difference, not abandoning the mistaken conceptions of the grasper and the grasped, because one will not be enlightened with equanimity, so it is not reasonable for the characteristics of dualistic appearance to arise. As it is said: Bodhi is the nature of space, because all characteristics are abandoned.
