In order to attain the state of omniscience itself, and in order to perfect all the Buddha's teachings, just like a single day, in the three times, completely dedicate to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Great king, enter in that way and become a king! The king's rule will not decline. The accumulation of enlightenment will also be perfected. After explaining in detail like this, he further said: Great king, you have been born as gods and humans many times due to the ripening of the root of virtue of the mind of perfect and complete enlightenment. Even in all the births as gods and humans, you have become powerful. It is just as it was extensively taught. The fruit of the mind of enlightenment, which makes practice the essence, is established as extremely vast. As it says in the Sutra Requested by Arya Dpasbyin: The merit of the mind of enlightenment, if it had a form, it would fill all of space, and it would be even greater than that. It is like what was said. It is also praised in the Stem Array: Son of a lineage, the mind of enlightenment is like the seed of all the Buddha's teachings. It is extensively explained like this. That mind of enlightenment is also of two types: the mind of aspiration and the mind of engagement. As it says in the Sutra of the Stem Array: Son of a lineage, in the world of sentient beings, those sentient beings who aspire in their minds to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment are difficult to find. Those sentient beings who have truly entered into unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment are even more difficult to find than those. Among them, that which is initially sought for the benefit of all beings, to become a Buddha, is the mind of aspiration. That which from then on takes vows and enters into the collections is the mind of engagement. Vows are obtained from others who are learned, powerful, and abide in vows. If there is no opportunity, then Buddhas and Bodhisattvas should be made manifest, and the mind of enlightenment should be generated in the same way as when Arya Manjushri became King Namkha. Thus, the Bodhisattva who generates the mind, I...

If one knows that others are not subdued, one should diligently practice giving and so on. Without practice, one cannot attain enlightenment. For example, as stated in the sacred Gaya Gori Mountain Sutra: Enlightenment belongs to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who make practice their essence, not to those who make wrong practice their essence. The sacred Samadhiraja Sutra also states: Therefore, young one, you should learn to make practice your essence. Why? Because, young one, by making practice your essence, it is not difficult to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Thus it is said. The practice of a Bodhisattva is also differentiated by the Paramitas, the Immeasurables, the Ways of Gathering Disciples, and so on, as taught by the sacred Inexhaustible Intellect, and as explained extensively in the Ratnamegha Sutra and others. For example, a Bodhisattva should also learn about worldly crafts and so on, let alone transcendent meditations and so on. If not, how can one accomplish all the affairs of sentient beings? The practice of a Bodhisattva, in short, is the nature of skillful means and wisdom, but it is not merely wisdom, nor is it merely skillful means. As stated in the sacred Vimalakirti Nirdesa Sutra, skillful means without wisdom and wisdom without skillful means are the bonds of a Bodhisattva. Wisdom with skillful means and skillful means with wisdom are liberation, thus it is praised. The sacred Gaya Gori Mountain Sutra also states: The path of Bodhisattvas, in short, is these two. If Bodhisattvas possess these two paths, they will quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. What are the two? They are skillful means and wisdom. Among them, apart from the Perfection of Wisdom, the Perfections of Giving and so on, the Ways of Gathering Disciples and so on, as well as pure Buddha-fields, great enjoyment, abundant retinues, and so on, are all for maturing sentient beings, and emanations

Etc., all the virtues that gather the Dharma of higher realms are called means. Wisdom is the cause of realizing the very nature of the means without any error. It correctly distinguishes the differences of means, and without any reversal, it accomplishes the meaning of self and others as they are. It is like eating poison that has been blessed with mantras, and it will not turn into all afflictions. As it is said in the same Sutra: Means is knowing how to gather, and wisdom is knowing how to completely subdue. It is also said in the Noble Sutra of Generating Faith: Skillful means is that which perfectly gathers all Dharmas. What is wisdom? It is being skilled in not mixing all Dharmas. These two, means and wisdom, should be practiced at all times even by those who abide on the grounds, and not just wisdom alone. For example, all ten Bodhisattva grounds also constantly practice all perfections. As it is said in the Sutra of the Ten Grounds and others, it is not that they do not practice the others either. The Bodhisattva abiding in peace on the eighth ground also contradicts the encouragement of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. As it is said in that Sutra: O sons of the Victorious Ones, thus the Bodhisattva abiding on this immovable ground of the Bodhisattva, due to the increase of the power of previous aspirations, and abiding in the stream of the Dharma gate, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, accomplish the Tathagata's wisdom for him. And it is also said: Good son, well done, well done! This is also the ultimate forbearance for realizing all the Buddha's Dharmas, but you do not have my ten powers and fearlessness, etc., which are the perfect Buddha Dharmas. Strive to seek the perfect Buddha Dharmas, and do not abandon this door of forbearance. Good son, although you have thus attained peaceful liberation, think of those ordinary people who are not peaceful, not completely peaceful, who will generate various afflictions, and who are tormented by various kinds of thoughts. Again,
