Furthermore, if asked, how can one completely abandon these signs? The answer is: By not paying attention to what appears, one abandons them. So it is said in the scriptures. If asked, how does one see the nature of mind when meditating without conceptualization? The Sutra of Dense Array says: Just as the finest gold does not appear in the shape of gold, but after being diligently and finely hammered, it becomes visible when fully refined. Likewise, the Alaya consciousness, together with the seven consciousnesses, when fully refined by Samadhi, is always seen by the yogi. So it is said in the scriptures. If asked, how does one's own awareness merge into non-conceptualization? The Sutra of the Cloud of Jewels says: What is meant by 'clarity itself'? The Buddha replied: 'Thatness' is a supreme term for the true meaning. This is individual self-awareness, which cannot be expressed by words and letters. Why? Because it transcends all speech, expression, and conceptualization; it is the realm of noble wisdom, abiding as it has always been. So it is said. Therefore, the meaning of sudden entry meditation does not contradict the teachings of many sutras, and it is also in accordance with the instructions of the wise. Nagarjuna, in his Essence of Dependent Arising, also said: In this, there is nothing to be eliminated, nothing to be established, look at reality as it is, and having seen reality, be completely liberated. So it is said. Furthermore, the teacher, in his Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, also said: In those solitary places, the wavering mind does not waver, and one crosses the unbearable ocean of existence, stirred up by the illusions of affliction. So it is said. Arya Deva, in his Treatise on the Measure of the Hand, also said: Those who wish to abandon all afflictions should seek it through the ultimate meaning. So it is said. Therefore, in all the scriptures and treatises, it is said that not abiding in the two extremes and signs is the cause of Nirvana, and abiding in signs is said to be the fault of Samsara. Therefore, entering directly into the meaning of non-conceptualization is said to be the supreme path to Nirvana. It is said in the scriptures. It is said in the scriptures that all Dharmas are included in non-conceptualization. As the Sutra of the Starry Sky says: If one learns and meditates on one Dharma, all Dharmas will be liberated.

Thus it is said. In the Sutra of Moon Lamp, it says: If one is endowed with one dharma, then all qualities of dharma will be perfected. What is the one? If one recognizes Suchness, then there is no attachment to all dharmas, and it is abandoning all sounds. Thus it is said. In the Sutra of the King of Dharma, it says: If one is able to understand one dharma, then there is no dharma that is not understood. If one does not understand one dharma, then there is no dharma that is understood. Thus it is said. In the Sutra of Moon Flame, it says: The realms of the world are completely empty. Whatever sutras I have spoken, the various words and phrases have the same meaning, and it is impossible to express them all. If one becomes familiar with one phrase, then one will become familiar with all of them. Thus it is said. In the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization by the teacher Senge Sangpo, it also says: One dharma is the very nature of all dharmas. Whoever realizes the Suchness of one dharma, realizes the Suchness of all dharmas. Thus it is said. This is not contradictory to the scriptures and treatises, and it also has meaning in conventional truth. As it says in the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra: Shariputra, form is emptiness, and emptiness is form. Form and emptiness are not different. Similarly, from feeling to all dharmas, they are the nature of emptiness, not born, not ceasing, not increasing, not decreasing. Thus it is said. Therefore, although there is no self-nature in ultimate truth, in conventional truth, emptiness appears as form like an illusion, so it will not be cut off, which is the tenet of Madhyamaka, I think. In the Sutra of the Ornament of Wisdom Light, it says: Explaining cause, condition, interdependence, and relationship, and teaching gradual entry, is a means for the ignorant. For the dharma that is naturally accomplished, what is there to apply gradually? For the nature that transcends the limits, who would cling to the concept of a whole? There is not even a slight commitment. At that time, the mind is like the sky, and the realm of activity is the same as the Buddha. Thus it is said, I think this is the tenet of Madhyamaka. In the Lankavatara Sutra, it says: The arising of things is conventional truth, and there is no self-nature in ultimate truth. For what is not self-nature, what is the delusion? That is considered the correct conventional truth. Thus it is said. In the Avatamsaka Sutra, it also says: The wish-fulfilling jewel king fulfills whatever is thought and desired.
