The meaning of entering non-conceptual meditation at once. The meaning of entering non-conceptual meditation at once. The meaning of non-conceptual meditation resides herein. The meaning of entering non-conceptual meditation at once. Homage to youthful Manjushri. If one firmly establishes the true limit in this, then my treatise is solid and cannot be refuted by others. There is no nirvana to be attained, and no samsara to be abandoned, just as the head and tail cannot be cut off. However, although I am like a blind person and cannot clearly explain it, I will rely on the scriptures and briefly state it for the sake of honoring the true meaning. Those who wish to quickly attain omniscience should meditate on the samadhi of non-conceptuality. What is real? It is stillness and insight. Not abiding in characteristics is the samadhi of stillness. Not being separated from any characteristics is the samadhi of insight. Characteristics not arising is stillness. Characteristics not ceasing is insight. The limit of things is stillness. The limit of things not falling is insight. For example, just as when one goes to the top of a high mountain and looks, everything is clearly visible, so within these two samadhis, all samadhis appear. Abiding in these two is like a person dwelling in a house of precious vaidurya, seeing everything clearly inside and out. Likewise, the limit of all things becomes visible, and that is the Buddha, as it says in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Action and characteristics, and things, I do not enter nirvana. By reversing from discrimination and consciousness, I enter nirvana. Not seeing discrimination, and when not seeing the Buddha, the Buddha is without entry. If one sees that, that is the Buddha." Also, as it says in the Vimalakirti Sutra: "Non-discrimination and non-attachment are bodhi," therefore, one should meditate on this samadhi of non-conceptuality. The yogi should make the gathering of stillness and insight more and more stable. What is the gathering of stillness? It is a place where clothing and food are easy to obtain, a place without unruly people and enemies, a land without disease, and a friend with moral conduct.

Having the same view, speaking little during the day and softly at night, having no particular attachment to good and numerous Dharma robes, always being content with obtaining meager benefits, completely abandoning evil deeds such as trade, speaking very little to both householders and renunciates, abandoning all activities such as practicing medicine and astrology, not breaking the naturally endowed precepts of both sets of vows, and even if broken due to carelessness, quickly restoring them according to the Dharma. Regarding the irreversible defeats mentioned in the vows of the Hearers, one should also have remorse and the intention not to repeat them in the future. With whatever mind one acts, one should separately recognize that mind of action as being without inherent existence. Or, if one meditates on all phenomena as being without inherent existence, one should know that one's discipline is completely pure. Then, without regret, one should strive to meditate. Regarding desires, one should also consider the various faults that arise in this life and future lives, and abandon discrimination towards them. On the other hand, whether objects are attractive or unattractive, all of them are of the nature of decay, unstable, and therefore will not remain together forever. Before long, all these and I will be separated, so what is there to be attached to? What is there to be angry about? Thinking in this way, abandon all discriminations. What are the conducive conditions for higher insight? Relying on an excellent individual, seeking extensive learning, and proper attention. Among these, what is relying on an excellent individual? It is one who is learned, clear in speech, compassionate, and able to endure fatigue. Among these, what is seeking extensive learning? It is the twelve divisions of the Buddha's teachings. Relying on those who are skilled in definitive and provisional meanings, generate the three wisdoms. What is proper attention? It is meditating on the true meaning without error. If it is not so, like a person who aimlessly goes to the edge of a cliff, one will not be certain anywhere. The yogi should always abandon fish and meat, and not
