Such is the nature of emptiness, which refers to the activity of applying to the nature of how beings benefit. He gives alms, practices giving, and also causes others to give alms. Likewise, it should be stated that upholding morality, etc., refers to the path that applies to the six perfections. They take up the ten virtues well and engage in them, etc., which refers to the activity of applying to the path of the Buddha. The perfections and other dharmas of the Bodhisattvas, their three limits and fruits, show that their nature is emptiness, and they meditate on them, going to unsurpassed enlightenment as much as possible, which refers to the activity of applying to the nature of emptiness. All dharmas are emptiness by nature, emptiness by nature is all dharmas, that itself is emptiness by nature, which refers to the activity of applying to non-duality. In perfect enlightenment, the Bhagavan does not perceive any dharma in the ultimate sense. In the conventional sense, after the dharmas have manifested perfect enlightenment, the teaching of the aggregates, elements, etc., as well as the perfections, etc., and all-knowingness, etc., refers to the activity of applying to knowledge with names. Whoever practices the perfections and other dharmas, and does not perceive their three limits and fruits, at that time is able to accomplish perfect enlightenment, which refers to the activity of applying to non-perception. When a Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not perceive beings in the ultimate sense. However, in the conventional sense, beings are completely afflicted by their attachment to things. He fully matures the three vehicles in order to abandon them, which refers to the activity of applying to the full maturation of beings. He practices each of the perfections, etc., and teaches beings all white dharmas and the emptiness of all dharmas, which refers to applying to the path of the Bodhisattva. He fully understands in this way: all dharmas are emptiness. Manifest in the emptiness of emptiness.

It is not attachment to that. One should practice generosity and so forth, and should not be arrogant about that or its result. This is the activity of abandoning all attachments. Bodhi itself is the path. The path itself is bodhi. Therefore, a Bodhisattva will not become a Buddha. Moreover, after all the Buddha's teachings have been completely perfected, when one particularly establishes complete enlightenment, at that time, one is the Tathagata. This is the activity of establishing the attainment of enlightenment. That, aggregates, sense bases, and so forth, all phenomena, reversing perverse notions, and establishing all virtuous phenomena such as self and others, and the perfections. Those virtues, one's own and others' complete enlightenment, one's own Buddha-field's complete purification, all cause to be completely increased, and one also makes aspirations. This is the activity of establishing the complete purification of the Buddha-field. A Bodhisattva's initial generation of the mind of enlightenment is itself the certainty of complete enlightenment. If there is certainty, there is no birth in the lower realms. This is the activity of establishing the certainty of complete enlightenment. He abides in the Perfection of Wisdom, and benefits sentient beings in countless world realms in the ten directions without attachment. Because he abides in emptiness, he abides in all white dharmas, because emptiness is not different from all dharmas. This is the activity of establishing the benefit of immeasurable sentient beings. He contemplates in this way: all the world realms in the ten directions equal to the sands of the Ganges River, and all the Tathagatas of those realms, all of them are empty in their own nature. If at any time there is even a little that is not empty, then that would be false. Therefore, all phenomena are empty of all phenomena. Thus, abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom, he actualizes the six superknowledges. This is the activity of establishing the approach to the Buddhas of the ten directions and so forth. What are the limbs of enlightenment of a Bodhisattva? From the six perfections up to the unshared qualities of a Buddha. This is the activity of establishing the limbs of enlightenment.
