With the three causes, the order of giving and so on is shown to be definite, that is, in this way, because the former is always relied upon, the latter arises; because the latter is supreme; because the former is coarse and the latter is subtle. The three trainings are: thus, the training of realizing in discipline, the training of realizing in mind, and the training of realizing in wisdom. Among them, the first is the three perfections, namely: thus, the perfection of giving, the perfection of discipline, and the perfection of patience. The second is one perfection, namely: thus, the perfection of meditation. The third is one perfection, namely: thus, the perfection of wisdom.
