In short, sentient beings are those who possess bodies. Whether it is desire, hatred, or ignorance, one should realize that they are merely the conceptual elaborations of the mind. Therefore, they do not exist in ultimate reality. If someone argues that the forms and other phenomena that are the objects of desire and so on, exist in ultimate reality because they are distinct, and therefore the doctrine of mind-only cannot be established, then it is said, "Any other phenomena also..." The word "also" here is inclusive. Not only is desire a conceptual elaboration of the mind, but any possible form and other phenomena are as well. Children are the unwise. False self-nature refers to those who are controlled by wrong views, that is, things that are measured by desire, hatred, and ignorance, which should also be regarded as conceptual elaborations of the mind. Because, if analyzed in terms of one and many, they are like a mirage city, and cannot be established in ultimate reality. Similarly, one cannot find their own independent self-nature, therefore they are the self-nature of what is imputed. Since what is imputed is also impermanent, how can they become different or the same things in ultimate reality? Similarly, after showing through analysis that desire and so on, as well as form and other phenomena, are also the nature of conceptualization, in order to show that ultimate truth is unrelated to all conceptualizations and is completely pure, it is said, "Even for the conceptualization of ultimate meaning..." The word "also" here is also inclusive. Since desire and so on, and form and so on, do not exist in ultimate reality, the teacher does not merely negate all conceptualizations. As long as all conceptualizations of the characteristics of attainment and analysis and so on are completely non-existent in ultimate reality, it is necessary to proclaim negation. That is, "I have realized the ultimate truth! I have realized it! I will realize it!" Like this, the attachment to endless conceptualizations such as what is to be realized, the one who realizes, and the act of realizing, is not taken by the wise who understand ultimate truth.

Because it is the cause of arising attachment, it is also understood as the cause of samsara. Because of this, ultimate wisdom should not abide, should not be attached, that is its meaning. Because even virtuous things, due to discrimination, will become the cause of samsara, and non-virtuous things are the same. What is the difference in discrimination? This is saying that discrimination is about the ultimate object or the non-ultimate object. Both are paths that are in accordance, because they are both discriminations. Now, in order to show the meaning of what was said before with an example, it says "depending on the difference of the support," etc. Although the characteristic of fire's burning is firewood, there is no difference in its burning itself due to the difference between roots and leaves. The fire of sandalwood, which has a cool nature, is also just touching, because it becomes the object of touch, so it is also burning. Similarly, discrimination of the ultimate object should also be understood. Also, why should one not be attached to discrimination of the ultimate aspect? It says "everything should be abandoned," etc. Everything means without remainder. Like this, it is not just the gross discrimination of samsara, but also the discrimination of attachment to the ultimate nature, and even the subtle reasons for obtaining or not obtaining should be abandoned, that is its meaning. What does discrimination become like? It is the nature of illusion, the meaning of the nature of illusion. Because "the mind is manifest deception," this is saying that it will become an obstacle to reality. If that is the case, what is the nature of illusion like? Because it is the same as discrimination, in order to show its nature with a negative example, it says "illusion is also," etc. The tone of "also" is the meaning of جمع. Therefore, because illusion is impure, "the illusionist's is transformation," this is saying that it appears like the manifestation of illusion. Transformation is what truly appears. Just as an illusionist makes things like land, which are not its nature, appear as things like elephants, so too with the non-dual nature.
