Now continue the translation. With false imputation, at all times, those touched by the wavering of the mind, how are they different from the consciousnesses that appear as two moons, etc.? When is the truth always obscured by the darkness of false imputation? Apart from the non-deceptive appearance, there is no other certainty. Furthermore, the nature of things becomes either permanent or impermanent, because they exist by mutually abandoning each other, therefore there is no third aggregate. Mutual complete abandonment, etc., in order to strongly establish contradiction, if valid cognition acknowledges it, then our objects are established as contradictory. This is reasoning, because valid cognition establishes the general characteristics of things, the universal object is not established, as has been strongly established above. The contradiction of things is the valid cognition of convention, because it is spoken based on this, therefore it is not a true realization. Thus, like lamps, etc., phenomena that are subject to arising and ceasing, are distinguished by the manner of dependence, observe the realizations of contradiction. When the manner is distinguished, with the certainty of 'if there is this, there is that,' what are those two phenomena? In terms of their nature, they are considered contradictory. Those related to arising and ceasing also exist in illusions, etc. By that alone, what are those? Are they true things? Because the manner of consciousness is mistaken, and also because external objects are not established, there is not even a little true thing in lamps, etc. Thus, in order to enter the ultimate truth by relying on the meaning of the world, those with intelligence should establish it. Likewise, other contradictions should also be known as conventional. In true things, there is not even a bit of contradiction. These characteristics of valid cognition are also for the sake of entering into truth, therefore it should be regarded as conventional, as has been taught, therefore you should desire it thus. Otherwise, children, cowherds, etc., the fame among women, etc., without oral instructions, from smoke, etc., why does the direction of fire, etc., change definitively? If you do not rely on conventions, even if you rely on other means, you will not be able to truly distinguish between yourself and others. The contradiction of sign and sign-possessor, and likewise pervasion and pervaded, are not examined in terms of true meaning, but for the sake of entering the ultimate truth. How does the world

Depending on reputation, Depending on this, likewise what is to be proven, And these that can prove exist, Therefore, everything is spoken. Therefore, pervasion and contradiction, etc., Unestablished, etc., whoever refutes, All those are called wandering, Scholars should know. Whatever is permanently unestablished, It is reasonable to argue against that. Arguing based on true reliance, Will not turn into an unwanted consequence. Here, the nature of impermanent things, True direct perception is non-existent. If cause and effect are understood and established, Then it is excellently established. The self-nature of others is the effect, For what has become the cause, of consciousness, Why is it not reasonable to grasp, Because it is not established in direct perception. With just similar consciousness, One does not know others, If that is so, all similar things, Will become the reason for benefit. The nature of what is known as similar, It is not permissible to have differences, Abiding in its own nature, It can be the master of pervading the knowable. With the difference of the nature of consciousness, Even if the self-nature dwells closely, Even so, because it is useless, How can one grasp others? For the sake of knowing the similar nature, Even if it becomes reasonable, When looking at the moon, etc., Why do they not know each other? Saying it is produced from that, Like that other differences, Even if one wants to say, However, it does not accomplish the desired. Things accomplish their function, Because they are connected with their own nature, Following the wishes of the individual, How can it arise from differences? Even if consciousness arises from that, From that it abides in its own nature, How from others, manifestly, Does it do, please tell this also. The self-nature of others manifestly, If established, then similar to that, And arising from that can be established, Therefore, difference is not established. Arising from the power of similar meaning, The consciousness immediately after that, And similar arising from that, Therefore, knowing will become logically necessary. In the mind, universally diverse, Because these aspects appear, The nature of what has parts, And similarity is not a connection. Diversity is also not one, That does not have diverse qualities, Without grasping onto the basis, Then the grasping onto this does not appear, The basis devoid of diverse aspects, Does not appear separately.
