Lo! This is also answered by "Isn't it" and so on. The treatise is an established tenet. The distinctions arising from this are to be proven, and it also exists in both the subject of the example, that is called that. Collecting the wise, women, and children, finally with the middle particle, is an unchanging entity. In that, what is widely known is collected in the sixth consciousness. All of it refers to all the debaters. If one thinks, what fault would there be if the reason or subject relies on an established tenet? If it is not so, then state "the basis is not established" and so on. If it is so, then the subject becomes the basis of dispute, and because it is not established, it will become a reason where the basis is not established. Stating "etc." means that if one's own nature is not established, the subject of the example will also not be established. If such a refutation is stated, what answer should be given? Therefore, all the terms of what is to be proven and what proves will be cut off. Thinking, if someone relies on the appearance of the subject and applies proof to refute the imputed aspect, then one cannot find fault with the basis not being established, etc. You are preventing the appearance of the subject, so why can't you find fault with the basis not being established, etc.? Stating "I" etc., is because for this appearance of the subject, it is also to prove the refutation of the imputed true nature, but it is not to prevent the subject's own nature, so it is the same. Thinking, if the nature of the ultimate truth is prevented, then what will the nature of the subject appear as, and what else will remain? That is also not correct, because if the nature of the ultimate truth disappears, it will change, and the nature of the ultimate truth itself does not pervade appearance, because false things such as double moons and hairnets also appear. Saying that double moons etc. are false in the form of external objects, but they are the ultimate truth in the nature of knowledge, so they should appear, cannot be said, because they appear as various natures and existing in objects. Consciousness is not of various kinds, because it is only one.

Because it would lead to the loss of (previous) experiences, and the arising of multiple cognitions has already been prohibited. It is also not located in the object, because it has no body. Therefore, although the two moons, etc., are not ultimately real, it does not contradict the appearance even if the nature of ultimate reality is reversed, so the subject, etc., is established. Therefore, there is no contradiction in what is to be proven and the action of proving, and that is all that is needed, so many are not needed. The Vaibhashikas, etc., believe that directions, etc., are the subject with parts, and that sound is a quality of space. But these subjects are not established for Buddhists, etc. The so-called "fame of refutation" is a synonym for "fame gained through refutation." "I do not negate objects with the nature of appearance." The explanation of this is: I also do not negate the objects that appear to the consciousness of the eye, etc. This negation is not ultimately real, and it should be connected with what follows. The so-called "like the trunk of a water tree" is like the trunk of a water tree. The so-called "without manifest attachment" is a synonym for not relying on the subject, etc., through one's own tenets. The so-called "as it is said" is what the previous teachers said. The so-called "dense clinging" is the complete clinging to the subject, etc., that is famous in the tenets. The so-called "to terms" refers to the terms of what is to be proven and what proves it. The so-called "those who are controlled by hatred of the ultimate truth" refers to the Vaibhashikas, etc., who think and say that when speaking of emptiness of inherent existence, the vows will be harmed by the promises because the commitments of the next life, etc., will be lost. The so-called "empowerment from the crown of the head" is the most excellent because it prevents all things. Slandering cause and effect itself is a wrong view, and for those who uproot virtue from the white side with it, that is what is said. The so-called "hail of the crop of the true Dharma" is because slandering its meaning itself is the cause of its destruction. Fire of space
