It is said that actions and so on. The previous teachers Dharmakirti and others said this: The Blessed One definitively explained the various consciousnesses with "non-place" and so on. Those consciousnesses, etc., are spoken from the various consciousnesses, only intending the same kind of consciousness, not different kinds. For example, the same kind of various discriminations arise in sequence, this is how it is explained. It is not like that, if you abandon the rules of the previous teachers and explain at will, then at that time I will also say this: For example, "non-place" and so on, this is focused on preventing the simultaneous arising of two minds that are incompatible and contradictory. If so, then how is "the continuum of consciousness is one" remembered? It is said that the word "one" belongs to the synonym of "only" and so on. If so, it is explained as showing the refutation of external objects. If explained in that way, what merit can be obtained? Therefore, it is said "the consciousness of ripening" and so on, if it is as you explain, it will only produce the fault of leading to becoming other, this is what I think. If so, even if the other party says so, you are also accomplishing what we ourselves desire, this is what I think. If this reason is without damage, it is said "not" and so on. What is that analysis? It is said, for example, "the consciousness desired in the middle" and so on. Are the various consciousnesses not without a body, without the before and after made by the object? How then can the various consciousnesses dwell in the middle like dust particles? That is true, if it is thought that this statement has other faults, all the appearances of various object coverings are true, even if many consciousnesses have no object, it is also fully understood that they arise dwelling in the object covering place. It is not like that, if even knowing that many consciousnesses do not arise, the appearance of arising in the object covering place is reversed, then the various consciousnesses

If one does not realize the appearance as emptiness, then realization becomes meaningless. If one does not realize that blue and other appearances exist as objects, then what will become true? Because there is nothing else to experience blue and other things. If blue and other appearances themselves are false, then what will become true? This is the reason. Are not atoms substantial and consciousness not substantial? If so, why would the same fault occur here? To this, it is mentioned, "If one does not grasp the uninterrupted homogeneous atoms," etc. In short, it is only a difference in name, but in the sense of the nature of existing as an object, there is no difference. It is not to prove that attachment to mere names produces the same fault, but rather, even if there is a difference in names in the sense of existing as an object, why would the same fault not occur? "Like the brilliance of a jewel," etc., is to respond to the views of other Yogacharas, who say that at all times only one consciousness with various forms arises. The former believe that the various consciousnesses of the eye, etc., have various forms, but they do not believe that they are only one, but rather that there are eight consciousnesses. The secret ones believe that all beings are only of the nature of a single, constant consciousness. And the latter believe that each being has its own impermanence, so this differs from the former two. Space is the sky, and those who have space itself as clothing are called "sky-goers." Their view Thus arranging the sentences, thinking that here too, one should refute as in refuting the view of the sky-goers. In order to show the refutation itself, it is said, "Not the nature of many and one," etc. The argument is: whatever is many is not one, for example, many kinds of jewels, or for example, the consciousnesses that exist in many mind-streams. This consciousness is also many, because contradictory natures are observed.

It is so. If one asks how contradiction is established here, it is said that "various" refers to various different aspects, and so on. Apart from the various natures, there is nothing else that can be called the word of various. If the two, various and one, do not have mutual distinction between their entities, then they do not exist. Therefore, since it is a contradiction of the nature of existing by mutually excluding each other, contradiction is established. If the nature of the two contradictions is the same, then all sentient beings will become one substance, and therefore, the faults of simultaneous birth and destruction, etc., will be difficult to avoid. If it is not like that, then "one" will only be a name, and there is no dispute about the name, therefore, this is not an uncertain cause. For example, various jewels should be viewed from the perspective of the Lokayata, not from the perspective of the Yogacara, because the Yogacara does not acknowledge the existence of jewels. From the perspective of the Yogacara, the example is the various consciousnesses that exist in the various mindstreams. The consciousnesses that exist in the various mindstreams are only indicated by the word "etc.". Therefore, this refutation is common to both views. Other common refutations include: the nature of various and unique. It is said so. It will also not become manifest as various entities, manifest as various entities is pervaded by various entities.
