Etc. were mentioned. Why is it necessary to drink the oath water? Because of distrust, it was said, which is synonymous with "uncertainty." Previously, it was asserted that it is unreasonable to establish terms according to the nature of things, after admitting the nature of things. Now, because the nature of things itself does not exist, it is said, "Because the nature of things is unreasonable." Etc. were mentioned, which is the remainder of saying that it is unreasonable to establish terms. How is it unreasonable? Because there is no valid cognition, it was said, which is the remainder of "for the thing to be established." Because of the harm of valid cognition. Furthermore, the classification of "the nature of things is unreasonable" is transformed and combined. How are those two? It is said, "Following the line of reasoning." For what is unreasonable, the line of reasoning has already been explained by "without characteristics," etc. For what is harmful, the line of reasoning has already been explained by "many do not make one thing," etc. Having thus thoroughly established it, it is concluded with "therefore," etc. Among them, manifest clinging refers to manifest clinging to the nature of things. Absence of nature is that it is truly in accordance with reason, and valid cognition does not harm it, and terms also exist as they appear, therefore, your manifest clinging to the nature of things is merely acknowledging the source of increasing meaningless things. Therefore, with the thought of striving to abandon this, it is said, "What is the use of clinging to one's own view?" Etc. were mentioned, the meaning is clear. If, for this view, wouldn't it become annihilation since everything is nonexistent? It is said, "For this view," etc. Why wouldn't it become annihilation? Because it is said, "Because from the cause," etc. If a hundred are not annihilated, then would it become permanent? Because it would be said so, it is said, "If that returns." If the cause returns, then for the result returning, why say permanent? The sound "what" is to abandon both. This is explained for the sake of differentiation. When, this thing called sentient beings,

It should be connected to the word "enter." How does one enter? The answer is: due to the power of karma and afflictions. How does one enter due to the power of karma and afflictions? The answer is: as it appears. At that time, how does this become annihilation? It does not become the nature of annihilation, this is the concluding remark. How is it considered not to become annihilation? Therefore, it is said, "by the cycle of existence," and so on. When this thing is in the city of Nirvana, how does this become permanent at that time? It should be connected to this. What is it considered to be like? The answer is: seeing the noble truth itself is fire, whoever has the burning of all karma and afflictions by it, that is the one who has burned all karma and afflictions by the fire of seeing the noble truth. Therefore, it is concluded with "thus, then," and so on. It should be connected to "merely not transcending the self-nature of the ultimate reality, which is the dharma nature of permanence and annihilation." Why not transcend this place? Therefore, it is said, "like this," and so on, it is easy to understand. Even if it is like that, what is the omniscience like for this view that regards things as without self-nature? The answer is: it is only as it appears. It should be connected to "all things that arise dependently are seen by the omniscient one with direct perception." What is it considered to be like? It is said, "devoid of the nature of deliberation," the word "as it appears" should be connected to both the words "seen" and "arisen dependently." In order to refute this, although things are without self-nature, it is also said, "how it appears," it should be connected to "omniscient." What did he do? It is in knowing all aspects of all things. What is the thing considered to be like? It is said that it is only dependently arisen, and here it should also be connected to "as it appears." If it is only dependently arisen, what is it considered to be like? It is said that it is devoid of true arising, and so on. By what is it known? It is said by direct perception. How is it known? The answer is: simultaneously. For the view that asserts only consciousness, what is omniscience like?
