Therefore, the continuity of cause and effect, the valid cognition that realizes it, and bondage and liberation, etc., will all disappear. This is what the illogical respondent says, namely actions, etc. For both you who claim a self and those who claim no self, the actions done here produce results in the next life. Since the aggregates are different, the virtuous and non-virtuous actions done by one body are enjoyed by another body. Therefore, the basis of action and result are different, which is established for both of you. Regarding this, the self is neither the agent nor the enjoyer. Because it is separate from the agent and has no consciousness, the argument is meaningless. Because the self you acknowledge is powerless. It is said that what has been done is meaningless, the one with the cause is the agent, but it is impossible to see that he himself has the result. Because in the world, the one who dies is different, and the one who is born is different. Therefore, clinging to action and the agent as the same continuum. Relying on it to show who the agent is, and who the enjoyer is. It has also been said: Why is the continuum, whatever its nature, the force of the habits of karma, matures the result in it, like the red of cotton. Just as the seed of cotton, repeatedly smeared with the juice of dye, from the sprout to the fruit, appears only red. Although they are different, the karma done by the continuum of consciousness matures the result in that continuum of consciousness, and there will be no blame. What is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Sentient beings, continuum and aggregates, extremely subtle dust and all conditions, the self-nature, the independent creator, are only what I have said as consciousness. This is also to abandon attachment to sentient beings, etc. Therefore, consciousness is not the ultimate truth. Even if it is established, it is not the object of pride, such as the past, etc. There are three kinds of mind: past, future, and present. Among them, the past and the future are not the object of pride because they have already ceased and have not yet arisen. Because they do not exist now. The present becomes me. However, if the arising consciousness is me, then that is not me. Because it disappears in the second moment, there is no me. Therefore, focus on the mind.

English

Neither is it me. In short, for example, and so on. Just as splitting trees in water, I am also not true like the son of a vagina, and cannot be found even when searched through analysis. The other party said: If and so on. If I or all beings do not exist, then to whom should compassion arise? It is said in the Sutra of the Collection of Righteous Dharmas: Noble Avalokiteshvara said: Bodhisattvas do not study many dharmas, but only compassion. For example, wherever the wheel of the Chakravartin King goes, all the armies go. Wherever there is compassion, there are all the Buddhadharmas. It is said that this will not happen without sentient beings. The fruit is the purpose of man. Therefore, the delusion of desire is for sentient beings who are conventionally assumed. Through wisdom analysis, even without sentient beings, aggregates and so on exist in the conventional world. Then, if there are no sentient beings, whose fruit is it? Such as mind and so on. If there are no sentient beings, there is no single constant, and form and so on are of the nature of destruction, so the fruit will not be anyone's. This is true, in the ultimate truth, the fruit is not anyone's, but is desired by delusion. The delusion of striving to become a Buddha, because I alone become a Buddha, is particularly certain. Then, haven't all delusions been abandoned, how can they be accepted? Say: Suffering and so on. There are two kinds of delusions, namely the cause of entering existence and the cause of leaving. Among them, in order to pacify the suffering of birth and so on of all sentient beings, in order to realize the ultimate truth, one does not prevent any ignorance. Then, just like the delusion of fruit, let my existence be allowed too. Why stop it? Say: Suffering and so on. If there is delusion about me, pride will not be exhausted. Because of the mistaken perception of me, pride will only increase. He said: Whoever sees me, here, love for me will always arise. Because of love, one becomes greedy for happiness, and because of greed, one hides faults. Because of seeing merits, one is completely greedy, and accepts those causes. Therefore, as long as there is attachment to me, one will wander in samsara. Seeing merit is form.
