Merely by creating happiness, one can easily attain happiness, causing happiness to increase and expand greatly, or it is the collection of countless past beings, which liberates all sentient beings from the ocean of samsara. In order to rely on those who abide in the mind of enlightenment, it is said "existence" and so on, because one wants to destroy and eliminate hundreds of thousands of sufferings of one's own existence. Some scriptures say: "Wanting to be liberated from hundreds of thousands of sufferings of existence." There, too, this is the meaning. Furthermore, "wanting to eliminate the unhappiness of sentient beings" and so on, is because one wants to destroy the suffering of others' poverty. Hundreds of thousands of many pleasures refer to the pleasure of the Land of Bliss and so on. "Wanting to enjoy" means wanting to partake. The word "also" indicates that one also wants others to enjoy. Therefore, "the mind of enlightenment itself should never be abandoned," which means it should not be discarded. This benefit belongs to others at that time. The benefit of this life is mentioned by saying "if the mind of enlightenment arises" and so on. The prison of samsara is the house bound by craving, and that which is bound by attachment and so on is bound in the prison of samsara. "The wretched ones" refers to the afflictions worthy of compassion. Therefore, in just a moment, one is called the son of the Sugatas, and becomes worthy of being prostrated to by the world with gods and humans. Which moment? It is said, "If the mind of enlightenment arises," which means that it happens merely by the arising and occurring of the mind of enlightenment. This is like what the Blessed One said in the Noble Heap of Jewels Sutra and so on. Question: The first stage of a Bodhisattva, the Joyful Land, is where the mind of enlightenment first arises, and that is of the noble ones, so one should not call the noble ones "the wretched ones." Answer: That which is without reality is focused on the Dharma, while this is said considering those who truly hold the name, therefore those who truly hold the name are not noble ones.

Moreover, it can be known from the sutras that Napala will also be born. In the Sutra Showing That All Dharmas Are Unborn, it is said that the Bodhisattva Supreme Wisdom split the earth with a sword and saw hell, taking this as the time of his death, and sentient beings fell into the great hell because he did not believe in emptiness and was angry with those who spoke of emptiness. In the Sutra of Entering the Seal of Certainty and Uncertainty, it is also said that if someone generates the mind of enlightenment but does not always accept or recite the Mahayana, but relies on the practitioners of the Hearer Vehicle, then this is called a Bodhisattva who goes like a chariot of animals, like going to the place of Buddhahood with the animal chariot of the Hearer Vehicle. In the Sutra of Ten Dharmas, it is also said that if one who abides in the Bodhisattva lineage does not generate the mind of enlightenment, then the Hearer of the Tathagata will urge him and make him weary, and cause him to truly uphold it, generating the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, this is the first cause of devotion to the mind of enlightenment. After hearing the merits of perfect complete enlightenment or the mind of enlightenment, generating the mind of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment is the second cause. After seeing sentient beings who are without protectors, without refuge, and without friends, generating compassion in the heart and generating the mind of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment is the third cause. He sees all the perfect forms of the Tathagata and generates joy, and generating the mind of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment is the fourth cause. Therefore, it is said that the mind of enlightenment is the stupa of the world with gods, and this is also said in the Heap of Jewels Sutra, so it is worthy of being prostrated to by the world with gods and humans. As for the Sugata, for the nature of having great faith in obtaining the Buddha's teachings, whatever moment the seed of the mind of enlightenment arises, that moment can be called the son of the Sugatas. Therefore, the world with gods and humans...
