By proceeding in order with "obeisance," etc., there is no fault in doing so. Moreover, Bodhisattvas also possess the Dharma of realization, and in order to be in accordance with them, they possess the Dharmakaya. It is to show the meaning of paying homage to those who possess the Dharmakaya as well. They are also definitely those who have realized the nature of reality and have gone to bliss, and because they are similar to those who have gone to bliss, they were first taught before the Dharma. Therefore, there is no unreasonableness at all. If you ask, why only pay homage to these? The answer is because it is said, "To all who deserve homage," that is, to all others who deserve homage, such as Acharyas and Khenpos, etc., homage should also be paid. With the words "respectfully pay homage," the first half says to pay homage to those who have gone to bliss, etc., and the second half, in order to show what should be said, says "sons of the departed," etc. A son is a son born from those who have gone to bliss, meaning the son of the Victorious One, called a Bodhisattva. Entering their discipline is what should be guarded, or by which it is guarded, hence it is called discipline. That is, the Bodhisattva's training, with the generation of Bodhicitta as the first, should be properly undertaken. That should also be said according to the circumstances. Entering into that, or by which one enters into that, therefore entering is the path. By what path does one attain the rank of a Bodhisattva, and thereby attain the rank of one who has gone to bliss? This treatise will show that, is the meaning of this. Thus, because this can proclaim, entering the discipline is what is to be said of this, This is the speaker of entering the discipline. Thus, the relationship between the nature of the speaker and the spoken is also shown by meaning. Showing is the necessity of the speaker, but in reality, realizing the self-nature of what is spoken is its necessity. The necessity of what is spoken is also the Buddha himself, who is free from all obscurations in the order of generating wisdom arising from hearing, etc., which is the ultimate necessity. This is also gathered by the very words of entering the discipline of the sons of the Blissful One, that is, it indirectly shows by showing the benefits.

Transformed, having abandoned the impure body and attained the body of the Tathagata, because it is transformed into a priceless jewel, thus it is declared. Thus, the connection, what is to be said, and the purpose, etc., have been declared as parts of the entrance. Otherwise, if there is doubt that there is nothing to be said, etc., then those with discrimination will not enter here. Are you not speaking in your own words, who will believe this? The answer is: As the scriptures say. That is, without transgressing the scriptures, as the Bhagavan has said in other sutras, I will also declare without transgressing its meaning. This is to completely abandon composing treatises based on one's own ideas outside of the scriptures, meaning that this is not self-pleasing. This also indirectly shows that one has understood the meaning of the scriptures, and this is also a part of the entrance. If it is not to be declared as the scriptures say, then if those who desire it enter the scriptures themselves, then what is the use of this? The answer is: It has been made brief. That is, it has been made brief. Even though it is as it is said in the scriptures, because it has been extensively declared in those various sutras, I will make it brief and concise, this is the difference. This is to say that a decision has been made, and this is also to abandon what is not a part of the entrance. Therefore, since it is a part of the entrance, it is not unreasonable to declare what is to be said, etc. If so, is praising and prostrating meaningless? The answer is: It is also declared for the sake of attaining happiness, etc., how can it be meaningless? The intention here is that, by the merit arising from prostrating to the Sugatas, etc., the mind stream is completely moistened, so the continuum of previously committed sins is extremely thin, so the pacification of obstacles will make the accomplishment completely perfect, and it will also show that one also follows the path of the noble ones, and prostrating to the gods of desire, etc., is only possible from hearing. Thus, it will cause the listeners to have respect for themselves and the Dharma. Here also, it is spoken of with the word Sugata.
