Thus it is said that all terms such as what is seen will cease. Is this cessation in the ultimate sense or in the conventional sense? If it is said that it ceases in the ultimate sense, then this is not what I want, because there is no investigation of the ultimate truth in the conventional truth. However, if it is according to worldly fame, then it is said: "All that is seen, heard, and known should not be refuted here." As for what is seen, it is what is directly seen by the consciousness of the eye and so on. Hearing is what is heard from other people and scriptures. Knowing is what is determined by inference arising from the three aspects of the reason. These should not be refuted here based on all terms, which is the meaning of irreversibility. Whatever is very famous in the world, it is admitted that its nature has not been examined, and it is famous in the world, but it is not the ultimate truth. Therefore, the fault of saying that there is no understanding of meaning because there is no knowledge of consciousness cannot be found here for those who speak of the ultimate truth. If it is admitted as it is, then how does it stop? Here, suffering and so on are spoken of. Truth is the ultimate truth, and it is not fabricated by discrimination, which is the meaning of repetition. Moreover, here, the practice or philosophical view should be reversed, and it should be refuted. Why? Because of suffering, this is the word of cause, because it is the cause of suffering. The aggregates of close grasping, established by examining existence and non-existence, etc., the cause of entering is samsara. As it is said: "Suffering arises from the world, and the place of view and desire are also those." From those words, understanding it as true is the cause of suffering. Therefore, here, it is only intended to refute the attachment arising from the imputation of untruth, and a small part of things is not refuted here. Therefore, in this way, even a small amount of self-awareness is not reasonable, saying: "The mind of the object of knowledge and the subject of knowledge, the Tathagata has not seen. Where there is the object of knowledge and the subject of knowledge, there is no Bodhicitta.

That is what was said. There, the Blessed One's statement that it is only mind will be explained as the true meaning, just like the aggregates and sense bases. Now, having completely finished what has arisen incidentally, in order to relate it to the present situation, it is said, "Mind is like illusion," and so on. Like this, is illusion, which arises from the mind, different from the mind? Or is it not different from the mind? Or is it the nature of both? Or is it not the nature of both? These are the four examinations. Among them, for the moment, the first case is not valid, because if one admits that illusion is different from the mind, then it will contradict the tenet that all beings are only mind. For the second discrimination, when "If you have no illusion" and so on, the fault of what is shown exists. The third case is also not reasonable, because mutually contradictory qualities cannot exist in one thing. If it is said to be the fourth examination, that is also not relevant. It should be closely grasped and explained, that is, "Mind is illusion, not other," thus preventing otherness. If it is said, then is it also not other? "Not other is also not constant," that is, it also prevents being itself. Thus, if one thinks that it is the side of denying both, and makes other distinctions, that is also not reasonable. Because having mutually exclusive qualities, if it is not that denying one establishes the other, it is impossible for it to happen. Because these cannot exist in one thing, the fourth examination is also not reasonable. Also, if it is said, if illusion is real, then how can it not be other? That is, how can it not be different from the mind? If it is said that it is not other, then the mind itself is illusion, and at that time it is not real, because for something that is not truly existent, it is its nature. This is exactly the meaning of "only mind," that is, what is said in "When you have no illusion, then what is the object?" Now, in order to complete the task of proving what is currently to be proven and to conclude, it is said, "How can illusion be existent and also non-existent?" and so on. Like the illusion of an elephant, etc., which is to be the object of focus, it is without substance or is of the nature of non-existence. Like that, how is it to be looked at? That is, just as the object of sight is illusion, that
