In order to show that the Tathagata does not abide in the peaceful Tathagata, just as it is impossible for the deceased to have these four situations, it is also impossible to have limits and limitlessness, etc. Therefore, "limits and" etc. were spoken. In order to show that it is impossible to have four kinds of conceptualizations, such as "the Tathagata will appear again after death" etc. Therefore, "who with" etc. were spoken. Whoever, with great manifest attachment, thinks that the Tathagata exists, grasps in a very firm way, that is, generates complete calculation. If he is sure that the Tathagata has completely liberated from suffering, then in the time after the Tathagata's death, the Tathagata will not appear, or the Tathagata will be cut off, or the Tathagata does not exist, thus making conceptual distinctions. If you conceptualize in this way, then at that time it will become a view. In whatever situation, for the Tathagata, there is neither existence nor non-existence, for that aspect, just like imagining a picture in the sky, imagination does not exist, and so on. In order to show that, "empty of self-nature that" was spoken. After thus showing that permanence and impermanence etc. do not exist, in order to show from the perspective of the treatise that it is neither the same nor different. Therefore, "this is the pure aggregate" was spoken, which has been said before. Similarly, wood itself is not fire, "just as wood itself is not fire" etc. were spoken. Through words such as "etc.", wood and fire have fully explained all the order. The meaning of this is: If firewood is fire, then action and agent will become one. This sentence negates that wood and fire are one, so wood itself is not fire. If fire is different from wood, then it will exist even without wood. This sentence negates otherness, so fire will not become different from wood either. Because the two aspects of oneness and otherness are negated, the aspects related to it and the aspects related to the support are also naturally negated.

After refuting, in order to show its conclusion, it is said, "Fire is not with fuel," and so on. Because fuel exists in this, it is with fuel. If it exists as a different entity or a non-different entity, that would be reasonable, but since both cases are refuted for fire and fuel, the very existence of fire with fuel is refuted. If it were a different entity, it would be established as a support like a pillar, but since there is no different entity from fuel and fire, it is unreasonable to say that there is no fuel. There is also no fire in the fuel, because a different entity is refuted. In order to show that it is unreasonable to examine in five ways, similarly, there is no self, it is said, "Self and near-taking," and so on. Among them, because it is to be taken near, it is near-taking, that is, the five aggregates of near-taking. The self that is imputed in dependence on them, holding and accomplishing near-taking, whatever the order of establishment of that self and near-taking, all of that should be understood as explained by the fuel. If one thinks, what is the difference between all and without remainder? Saying all, it refers to showing the five cases just mentioned, therefore, all five cases should be applied to the self and near-taking without any omission, just like fire and fuel. For showing the five cases, one should also know that the reasonable order also applies to the self and near-taking, in order to show that the refutation of the self and near-taking by fire and fuel in all ways is the same, therefore, "without remainder" is said. Among them, whatever is near-taking, it itself cannot be the self, because it would lead to the act and the agent being one. What should be taken near is a different entity, and the one who takes near is also a different entity, which is also unreasonable, because it would lead to the self being perceived as separate from the aggregates. Since oneness and difference are refuted, I am also not with the aggregates. Since there is no otherness, I am not in the aggregates, and the aggregates are not in me. Because the self does not exist in five ways, therefore, like the act and the agent, the self and near-taking are established in dependence on each other.
