This is just like Nirvana, without any contradiction. Therefore, it has been shown that terms such as inferior, equal, and superior should not be used. It is also said like this: Just as with clothes, although things have many different forms, the ashes of those burned by the fire of emptiness have no difference at all. Here, the Samkhya school, which asserts the existence of the effect, and others who assert the non-existence of the effect, say that this reasoning is not established. They say this: Whatever arises from something, that is its nature, therefore, the cause should be expressed by the word "nature," such as having the form of the nature of gold. There, things exist in the nature of the effect, because what does not exist cannot arise from it, just like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, since the nature of the effect exists in the nature of the cause, how can it be emptiness of nature? Or, one's own essence should be expressed by the word "nature," such as saying that the nature of the earth element is hardness. Those things that are not existing in the nature of that thing arising from the cause are also not like that in their own nature, because only those things that do not possess their own essence arise. For example, the form, smell, and taste perceived by different senses, which arise from the four elements perceived by the bodily senses. Therefore, they say that these are not empty of nature from the cause. Here, the answer is: Because of all things... etc. Because those who acknowledge that the nature of the cause exists or does not exist, for all beings or everything else, satisfaction will immediately arise, therefore, emptiness of nature is established. The collection of causes and conditions or individual things, this explains the word "all." The collection of cause and condition, and the things themselves individually, these words are combined separately. The cause is the immediate cause. The conditions are those that act together. The collection is the completeness of cause and condition. From cause and condition...

That which is beyond is the respective entity itself. For those who think that the nature of the fruit exists in the nature of the cause, by distinguishing the aggregation of cause and condition, it is shown to be separate from the cause by analyzing three aspects from the cause. For those who say that there is no fruit, in order to eliminate the view that the nature of the fruit exists apart from the cause, the respective entities are stated. For those who think, "How can that which manifests birth, abiding, and cessation in something be empty of nature?" in order to eliminate abiding and cessation by means of blocking birth, it is said, "Because there is, there is," and so on. This is how it is understood: For the time being, this birth is without cause, because sometimes you yourselves admit that it is with cause. Even if this birth arises from a cause, it should be analyzed whether it arises from itself, from another, or from both, because there is no other possibility. Among these, it is not from itself, because if the nature of the fruit exists in the nature of the cause before birth, then it would be possible, but that which does not exist does not arise. This is what is said, "That which does not exist does not arise." It is also not reasonable for that which exists to arise, because it exists, like the clear pot and the person. If it is thought that that which has the nature of ability arises as the nature of clarity, then, by whichever nature it exists, it does not arise, and that which arises does not exist, therefore it will clearly be admitted to say that there is no fruit. Therefore, it is not reasonable to arise from itself. It is also not from another, because if it is thought that this arises from another, then it is thought that there is no fruit, and it is not reasonable for that which does not exist to arise, because it does not exist. This is how it is thought: Birth is an action, and it is unreasonable for it to be without an agent, and it is not a different agent, because there is no different action. Only that which has different actions can have a different agent, like "doing" and so on. The undifferentiated thing that does not exist before birth, whether it is on the side of the agent of ability or on the side of the agent of substance, is easy, because it cannot be the agent itself.
