It is because it is realized by the measure of the world. Substances, qualities, and actions, etc., are non-existent because there is no measure, and because they are harmed by measure. Or, existence is experience, and non-existence is the opposite of that. O sons of the Victorious Ones, like this, these three realms are only consciousness. Or, the sound of existence and non-existence refers to the object called a person. Whoever abandons these aggregates and takes other aggregates, the person who carries the burden exists, because it is said so, therefore it exists. Because it cannot be said to be the same as that or different from that, it is non-existent. Because those cannot be said, it is non-existent. As it is said: Because of non-existence, the Bhagavan did not say life, that is the same as or different from that. And it is said that an existing object does not go beyond being the same as that or different from that. Now, how does it exist? Because it is merely the continuum of aggregates that is so labeled. Like this, filled with defilements and karmic imprints, being born in realms, destinies, and birthplaces, and leaking and diminishing with old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, and displeasure, or leaking and constantly arising like the water of a waterwheel is a person. This meaning is also not reasonable other than the continuum of aggregates. It is also said: The imputation will also become non-existent, so it is not said to be non-existent. For whom is the continuum of aggregates virtuous? The fruit of non-virtue exists. That is called life, and stating non-life makes it non-existent. It is said. Inferior or refers to objects with outflows. Superior refers to objects without outflows. Equality is in either case, in relation to the same kind. If this teaching is said to be the only ignorance, then it is said not-self, etc., for what reason is it not the only existence? That is the remainder. Therefore, the meaning of these is this: If the self becomes the only existence, then at that time existence would also be said to be permanent in its own nature, but this is not so, because it is an immeasurable thing.

because of the contradiction with valid cognition. Although they are entities that arise differently, they are merely imputed. Similarly, the nature of selflessness, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and the selflessness of mere consciousness, and if the person who is the nature of self and selflessness is truly existent, then the terms of words such as birth, destruction, and existence will only become proponents of reality. When, form is known like a bubble, feeling is like a bubble on water, perception is like a mirage, formations are like a banana tree, and consciousness is like an illusion. Thus, the aggregates are taught. Because the noble ones have said elsewhere, and the reasoning that will be explained also shows that these are not truly existent, then how can the terms of phenomena such as birth become truly existent? Therefore, the self that is completely imputed by others, and the aggregates of selflessness that are particularly clung to by hearers and others, and the self and selflessness that are clung to as the person of that very thing, because for what reason they are not truly existent, therefore, the terms of expression such as abiding are not at all reasonable as truly existent. Then, how should these dharmas be truly expressed? All dharmas are nirvana, and the same is said, thus it is said, and it is related to truly existent. How can nirvana, which is the nature of complete pacification of all elaborations, and all the dharmas that are the nature of elaborations, be the same? Because of the contradiction. Self-nature emptiness, this is also established as a reason in a special way. Therefore, the meaning is this: just as a person with cataracts sees hair streaks and long-beaked mosquitoes, and mosquitoes, etc., although they are the nature of elaboration by being unreal, but just as they appear, because they are not truly existent, therefore their self-nature is empty. Like this, even if there is no realization, it is the same as non-existence. Similarly, from beginningless samsara, the collection of phenomena such as form, which appears to arise truly from the habit of clinging to the appearance of clinging to truth, is also the same.
