Therefore. The outflows, the rivers, the connections, and the close grasping have all been explained. Among them, an outflow is precisely an outflow in cyclic existence, because it flows from the wounds of the six sense sources from the peak of existence down to Avīci hell, or because it causes outflow from the causes and objects, it is called an outflow. Because it carries, it is called a river, because it accords with it, they carry what accords with it. Because it completely connects with various sufferings, or because it repeatedly causes connection, or because it connects with objects, it is called a connection. Desire and so forth cause close grasping. Because it grasps, it is called close grasping. A knot is called a knot, and there are four knots: the knot of the body of covetousness, the knot of the body of malice, the knot of the body of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme, and the knot of the body of manifest clinging to "this is true." Among them, the knot of the body of covetousness is precisely the continuous engagement in various aspects belonging to desire. Similarly, apply it to the remainder as well. Among them, the ignorance belonging to desire that is to be abandoned by seeing and meditating on suffering and so forth is the first. The five kinds of anger are the second. The six kinds of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme are the third. The twelve kinds of holding views as supreme are the fourth. There are five obscurations called obscurations: longing for desire, malice, drowsiness, sleep, excitement, regret, and doubt. An obscuration, because it is of the nature of belonging to desire, is extremely unwholesome, so the obscuration obscures the side of virtue. Knowledge is ten kinds of knowledge: knowledge of the Dharma, subsequent knowledge, knowledge of the minds of others, conventional knowledge, knowledge of suffering, knowledge of the origin, knowledge of cessation, knowledge of the path, knowledge of exhaustion, and knowledge of non-arising. What is knowledge of the Dharma? The undefiled knowledge that focuses on whatever is aimed at in the formations associated with desire, and the undefiled knowledge that focuses on whatever is aimed at in the cause of the formations associated with desire, and the undefiled knowledge that focuses on whatever is aimed at in the cessation of the formations associated with desire,
