The ground is declared. What is the knowledge of exhaustion? It is that I have fully known my suffering, the origin has been abandoned, the cessation has been realized, and the path has been cultivated. That which is thoroughly known, the knowledge that relies closely, and the seeing, reasoning, intelligence, wisdom, discernment, understanding, appearance, and realization, all of these are called the knowledge of exhaustion. What is the knowledge of non-arising? It is that I have fully known suffering and there is no need to fully know it again, and so forth; the origin has been completely abandoned and there is no need to abandon it again, and so forth; cessation has been realized and there is no need to realize it again, and so forth; the path has been cultivated and there is no need to cultivate it again, and so forth. The knowledge that relies on the knowledge of these, and the seeing, reasoning, intelligence, wisdom, discernment, understanding, appearance, and realization, all of these are called the knowledge of non-arising. What is forbearance? It is the eight forbearances of realization: the forbearance of knowledge of the dharma of suffering, the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering, the forbearance of knowledge of the dharma of origin, the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of origin, the forbearance of knowledge of the dharma of cessation, the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of cessation, the forbearance of knowledge of the dharma of the path, and the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of the path. The associated factors have been explained. The non-associated factors will be explained. Among these, what is attainment? It is the two that possess acquisition: non-attainment and individual acquisition from what has been lost, and complete possession after acquisition. This also becomes three types: following like a shadow, following like a chief of the herd, and following like a calf. The first is like an uninstructed view. The second is like the virtuous and non-virtuous actions at the time of the connection of continuity of a being who dies from a higher realm and is born in the desire realm. The third is like that which is not co-emergent, but arises from hearing, thinking, and meditating. Non-attainment is the opposite of that. These attainments and non-attainments are those that belong to one's own continuum, and the cessation of individual discrimination, individual discrimination.

It is not non-existent cessation. What is the attainment of non-perception? It is said that it is the cessation of mind and mental phenomena by the mental activity that precedes the determination of non-existence of the higher desirelessness of virtue increase. What is the attainment of cessation? It is said that it is the cessation of mind and mental phenomena by the mental activity that precedes the thought of dwelling in the desirelessness arising from the sphere of nothingness. What is non-perception? It is said that it is the cessation of mind and mental phenomena arising in the gods of non-perceptual beings. What is the faculty of life? It is the life of the three realms. What is common destiny? It is the equality of sentient beings. This is the similarity of sentient beings, which is the cause of considering sentient beings as one. What is separate attainment? It is separate attainment of places. What is separate attainment of things? It is separate attainment of aggregates. What is separate attainment of sense bases? It is separate attainment of the inner and outer self-nature sense bases. What is birth? It is the manifestation of aggregates. What is aging? It is the maturation of aggregates. What is abiding? It is the non-deterioration of arisen dharmas. What is impermanence? It is the destruction of conditioned arisen dharmas. What is the collection of names? It is the establishment of names that is the name. What is the collection of sentences? It is the complete letters of meaning. What is the collection of letters? It is said that letters themselves are the collection of letters. What is the absence of assembled conditions? It is the incompleteness of cause and conditions. What is the assembly of conditions? It is the absence of incompleteness of cause and conditions. Those not associated with mind have been explained. What is consciousness? Thus, grasping objects, discriminating objects, distinguishing objects, and comprehending objects. Just as the appearance of color near a jewel becomes the support, so too does consciousness discriminate the appearance of objects. Because it arises from the proximity of objects, it discriminates the proximity of objects. However, the mere appearance of objects is not consciousness, because the object would also become consciousness. Consciousness
