It is not the agent of the aggregates but the enjoyer, while the qualities are the agents but not the enjoyers. Therefore, when it is shown that the qualities here are irrational agents and not enjoyers, it clarifies that the self is a very unreasonable statement. To show this, it is said: The qualities in all aspects, know how to make houses etc., but do not know how to enjoy, what else is more unreasonable than this? Because this statement contradicts reason, and because the world does not accept it, there is nothing more unreasonable than this, this is his thought. In this way, for the time being, it is unreasonable for the qualities to be the agents. According to whose view, only the self is the agent of both dharma and non-dharma, and the enjoyer of those fruits, then that self cannot be permanent either. For example: That which is associated with action is not permanent. Here, because it is the agent, it is the agent, and that agent itself is the cause of the action. If it does not do anything at all and has no cause, then it is impossible to be any agent. Even if it exists in association with action, it must be admitted that this is different from the state before that action when the action is started. The self that has no difference in the previous and subsequent states will not be associated with action as in the previous state. Coarse fire and wind etc. that are associated with action do not have permanence, similarly, this (self) cannot have permanence either. Furthermore, it is unreasonable for this self to be associated with action, because it has been admitted that it is omnipresent. The so-called action refers to something that depends on the agent or changes depending on the path. It also has two types, namely the nature of action and the nature of things. Among them, the nature of action that depends on the agent is like the action of walking. It exists in the walker Devadatta, and because it is related to it, it is said that Devadatta walks. Because it is not pervasive, it can be considered to be related to action because of the action of lifting and placing the feet, which is characterized by abandoning and accepting the two places before and after. If this (self) is pervasive

If one contemplates, then where will one go at that time, where does this non-clinging reside? Because of this, because it is so, there is no action for the all-pervading. The action of the nature of things, such as 'Devadatta sits,' which abides in the agent and is characterized by immovability, is also impossible for the previous self to construct the body when the previous action is destroyed and begins. It is reasonable that Lhasa Devadatta, who is associated with the earth, is not the all-pervading lord, and since there is no unsuppressed side for all that has gone, it is unreasonable to be associated with action. Similarly, the nature of purification, etc., which is the action that abides in action and is of the nature of movement, and the nature of cooking, etc., which is of the nature of immovability, should also be understood to be the same as the agent and the object that abide in the agent. Therefore, in that way, there is no permanence associated with action, and there is no action for the all-pervading. This is said to be abiding. If so, will I be separated from action? If so, then inaction is the same as non-existence. Is it not the case that things without action are like non-existent sky flowers, etc.? The objects that arise from the action of birth, depending on how the cause and condition of oneself depend, first establish the existence of oneself, and then obtain the object of oneself, and when the cause and effect are transmitted one after another without interruption, the difference of action becomes the cause of that and that birth, and only the meaning associated with action can be established as existing. According to those of one's own school who only realize the dharma of inaction, it is so, and existence will also be lost by dharma alone, because it is like a donkey's horn without action. If it is also argued that only the dharma of inaction exists, then there is no fault in this idea. That is also unreasonable, because the meaning of the scriptures is determined in other ways. From that, the agent does not have all independence, therefore, by preventing the action of that agent's nature, it shows that all dharmas are without action, and things are the cause of what has been done.
