In that place. All phenomena are shown to be without substance. At that time, names were given in accordance with that, and the sound was made famous throughout the world. All the gods utter sounds greatly, and became victorious with the name "without substance." Immediately after being born, he took seven steps, and the Victorious One explained that all phenomena are without substance. When the all-knowing Thubpa became the king of the Buddha's teachings, from the grass, trees, bushes, medicinal mountains, and rocks, the sound of all phenomena being without substance also arose. In that world, as many sounds as there are, all say that there is no substance and nothing at all. In this way, the guide of the world, the aspect of sound, will appear very well. Thus it was said. Because the nature of things is unreasonable, the sound of all phenomena being without substance also arises. One should understand the meaning of the sutra, such as, "In that world, as many sounds as there are, all say that there is no substance and nothing at all." Because such things appear, and because one wants to express the negation of existence, the meaning of "without substance" is the meaning of "without inherent existence." The commentary on the fifteenth chapter called "Examination of Inherent Existence" from the Clear Words by the teacher Chandrakirti. Here it is said: The nature of things is indeed existent, because samsara exists. Here, it is called samsara because of samsara, and it is called going because of going; going to another place is called samsara. If the nature of things is not existent, then who would go from one place to another and wander in samsara? The actions of the son of a corpse are non-existent, so samsara is not seen. Therefore, because samsara exists, the nature of things is also existent. It should be said: If samsara itself exists, then the nature of things should also exist, but it does not. Here, if samsara exists, then there must be either an actor or a sentient being in it. Either way, there is a fault, as it is said: If you think that the actor wanders, if they are permanent, they do not wander, and if they are impermanent, they do not wander either. The same applies to sentient beings. If one thinks that the actors wander, are they permanent or not?

If it is said that only permanent dharmas revolve, then permanent dharmas do not revolve, because they are devoid of activity. Only impermanent things like pots are perceived to have activity. However, if it is said that only impermanent things revolve, then those impermanent things are destroyed as soon as they are born, and those that are destroyed do not exist, like the actions of a barren woman's son. How could they wander anywhere? Thus, impermanent things also do not revolve. If it is thought that only impermanent actions (འདུ་བྱེད་) revolve because they are a continuous series of cause and effect, then this is also unreasonable. For the place where the effect arises does not have revolution, because it does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere. That which has become a destroyed cause also does not have revolution, because it does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere. Because past and future are not established apart from actions, and also because destruction and non-arising themselves do not exist. If it is said that when the later moment arises, the former moment revolves, if the former and later moments become the same, then it is not possible for them to be the same, because they are the objects of cause and effect, like the eye, form, and eye consciousness. Furthermore, if they are the same, then it cannot be said that they are former and later moments. There is no saying that gods and humans at the same time are one earlier and one later. Similarly, here also, because it is one, it cannot be designated as former and later moments. Furthermore, it cannot be said that the former moment has ceased, because it is no different from the later moment. Nor can it be said that the later moment has arisen, because it is no different from the former moment. If it is said that it is different, then it revolves, then in that case, because different beings have birth in samsara, even arhats would be in samsara, and it would also be said that when another lamp is lit, the extinguished lamp is also burning. Furthermore,
