Therefore, for example, like the nature of the mind faculty, with refutations including answers, one should refute the existence of mind and consciousness, as well as phenomena. Thus, from composing the treatise to the arising of discrimination, neither arising nor going is established; this is the conclusion. Having taught thus, according to the reasoning as taught, therefore, from the initial composition of the treatise examining the sense bases, others discriminate that those who have arising have going; neither arising nor going is established. Others believe that, in ultimate truth, the internal sense bases should be regarded as merely arising, because the objects are determined separately. Having said this, because the objects are not determined separately, arising is not established. One should know that going exists, because it is the result of action, like seeing forms, etc. Having said this, because there is no seeing forms, etc., going is also not established. Here, the meaning of the treatise is that by pointing out the faults in the assertions made by others, the sense bases are shown to be emptiness; this is the result of valid cognition. In this third chapter of the treatise examining the sense bases, regarding the meaning of the treatise as the result of immeasurable benefit, the prior position of others establishing arising and going is that, in ultimate truth, the internal sense bases should be regarded as merely arising, because the objects are determined separately. And, one should know that going exists, because it is the result of action, like seeing forms, etc. By pointing out the faults in the assertions of these two statements, the sense bases are shown to be emptiness. In order to show what benefit there is in showing that the sense bases are emptiness, and in order to dispel the claim of others that it is merely established by dry philosophical treatises, here it should also be established by the source of trustworthy scriptural authority. Therefore, in the Sutra Requested by Brahma Viseṣacitta, it says: 'Whatever is the internal earth element and whatever is the external earth element is the meaning of non-duality; this is also known by the Tathagata.'

Wisdom and prajna are non-dual, inseparable, and of one nature, that is to say, one awakens to complete perfect enlightenment without nature. The meaning of the spoken words of scripture is established, and with the source of credible scripture, it is established that all aggregates are emptiness. Among them, what is called "the inner earth element" refers to the inner aggregates such as the eye. What is called "the outer earth element" refers to the outer aggregates such as form. What is called "non-dual" means that, by nature, the senses do not exist, and the objects do not exist. What is called "inseparable" means that there is no grasper on the senses, and there is no grasped on the objects. Thus, the senses and the objects have no difference in nature, and because the nature of the grasped and the grasper are not distinguished, it is said to be of one nature. What is the nature of one that is spoken of? Therefore, it is said that it is without nature, and in order to eliminate the extreme of difference, it is said to be of one nature, and in order to eliminate the extreme of one, it is said to be without nature, the extreme of one and difference Both are unobtainable, that is the Prajnaparamita. Similarly, in the Sutra of the Play of Manjushri, it is said, daughter, how should one view the elements? The daughter said, Manjushri, for example, when the three realms are burned by the fire of the eon, there is not even ash to be found. The meaning of the spoken words of scripture is also established, and with the source of credible scripture, it is also established that all aggregates are emptiness, for example, when a fire occurs, the ashes of sentient beings and the vessel world are unobtainable, and nothing is obtainable on the inner and outer elements, that is the Prajnaparamita. Similarly, in the Noble Sutra of the Transference of Existence, it is said, the eye does not see form, the mind does not know phenomena, whatever does not enter the world, that is the ultimate truth. The meaning of the spoken words of scripture is also established, and with the source of credible scripture, also
