Moreover, if seeds, trees, and fruits were different, then worldly terms would be impossible. Therefore, it cannot be said that seeds and sprouts are different. It is also said below: "The other depends on the other, Without the other, the other does not arise. Whatever depends on whatever, That should not be different from that." How does it arise? Here it is said: Even so, if the seed exists, it will perish; if it does not exist, it will not perish. Therefore, this is also arising first and perishing later. It is explained: Like this, the seed also has the principle of the seed's perishing preceding it. Why? Like this, the sprout is not other than the tree, and the tree is not other than the seed. Therefore, the sprout arises from the seed's perishing preceding it, and the seed also arises from the seed's perishing preceding it. Thus, Master Aryadeva also said: "The example of the seed is like this, In it, there is no beginning of arising. Likewise, without cause and condition, Arising is also not reasonable." Therefore, there is no order of before and after in arising and perishing. Why is it said to first negate perishing and then negate arising? This should not be a challenge. In order to fully show that there is no order of before and after in arising and perishing, the teacher here first takes perishing and then examines arising. Here it is said: Please briefly explain how it is said that arising is only a term. It is explained: It will be explained in verse. "Not from self, not from other, Not from both, not without cause. Any thing, in any place, Arising never exists." If some thing arises, does that thing's arising come from itself, from another, from both self and other, or from no cause? After investigation, it is not reasonable in any way. How is it? "From self" is a synonym for "from itself." Regarding this, first of all, things do not arise from their own nature, because their arising would become meaningless and would fall into endless arising. Like this, what about things that exist in their own nature?

I do not need to be born. Even if I were to be born again, it would not change into never being born, so I do not wish for that either. Therefore, for the time being, things do not arise from themselves. Nor do they arise from others. Why? Because it would lead to the fallacy that everything arises from everything. Nor do they arise from both self and other. Because it would lead to the faults of both. Nor do they arise from no cause. Because it would lead to the fallacy that everything always arises from everything, and all actions would become meaningless faults. Therefore, since it is impossible for things to arise in any way, saying that there is arising is just a name. It is said: Things do not arise from themselves. For example, how can it be said that a sprout arises from a seed? If it does not arise from itself, then arising from both self and other is also unreasonable, because one side has failed. Like this, saying that arising from no cause is the lowest, so for the time being, these are not accepted. Things absolutely do not arise from others. If one must insist on this statement, then it should be said: There are four conditions, namely cause, condition, object-condition, immediately preceding condition, and dominant condition as well. The fifth condition does not exist. The fifth does not exist, which means that some teachers believe that anything named other than these four conditions is all included in these four conditions. This should be determined. In order to fully explain this, the four conditions, such as cause, are shown as the conditions for producing things. Things will arise from these four conditions. Because things will arise from these four conditions that have become other, therefore things absolutely do not arise from others. This statement is not good. Explaining: If you name the four conditions, such as cause, as others, and they are indeed different from things, then things will also arise from others. Therefore, they should not be others. How

If it is said like that, the nature of things is not in conditions and so on. If the self-nature of things does not exist, the other-nature of things does not exist either. Here, if existing things become other by depending on each other, for example, from Caitra becoming Gubta, and from Gubta becoming Caitra. At the time when conditions such as seeds exist, things such as sprouts do not exist. Therefore, when conditions such as causes exist, the nature of things such as sprouts does not exist. If their self-nature of things does not exist, how can causes and so on become other? Therefore, it is not reasonable for conditions such as causes to be other than things such as sprouts. Therefore, it is not reasonable to say that things arise from others only because the other-nature of things does not exist. The mention of "conditions and so on" is to include the views of other schools. Therefore, it is also clearly shown that it is impossible for things to arise in other schools. Here someone says, if conditions such as form exist, doesn't consciousness arise? The answer is: no, the arising of things must be examined. If you think that unarisen consciousness arises from conditions that have become other, then how can unarisen consciousness have self-nature of things? If there is no self-nature of things, how can there be other-nature of things? If there is no other-nature of things, then it is the same as sprouts and so on. Or, this has another meaning: the nature of things is neither in conditions, nor outside conditions, nor in both. Why? Because examining the conditions of arising will become the fault of being meaningless. For example, if the nature of things exists in conditions, or exists outside conditions, or exists in both, then what is the need for arising for things that already exist? For things that exist by nature, examining arising will also become meaningless. For things that already exist, what can conditions do? Examining conditions
