And therefore it will become a measure, because measure is used to establish. However, if you establish the measure, then the object to be measured will be established; if the object to be measured is established, the measure will be established, then neither of you will be established. However, if the measure is established, the object to be measured will be established, because it depends on the measure. If you think that if the object to be measured is established, the measure will also be established, because it depends on the object to be measured, then in that case, neither of you will be established. Why? If the measure establishes the object to be measured, and those objects to be measured are also used to establish those, how can those be established? If the measures establish the objects to be measured, and those objects to be measured are also used to establish those measures, however, the cause of the unestablished objects to be measured, because it is completely unestablished, how can the unestablished objects to be measured be established? If the object to be measured establishes the measure, and those measures are also used to establish those, how can those be established? If again the object to be measured is established, and those measures are also used to establish those objects to be measured, however, the cause of the unestablished measure, if it is a cause that is completely unestablished, how can the unestablished measure be established? If the father gives birth to the son, if the son himself also, if the father is born, then who gives birth to whom, tell me. If someone says that the father is used to give birth to the son, and the father is also born by the son himself, then now who gives birth to whom, tell me, just like what you said, the measures are used to establish the objects to be measured, and those measures themselves are also established by those objects to be measured themselves, then now who establishes whom, what you are saying? Those two also, because they hold the characteristics of father and son, therefore, I am doubtful about that, then what is the father and what is the son, tell me. Because among those two previously mentioned father and son, what is the son and what is the father, both of them are the cause of establishment.

It is to hold the nature of a father, because it is to be born, so it holds the nature of a son, therefore I am doubtful about this, just like that what is a father, what is a son, what are the valid cognitions and the objects to be measured that you speak of, what are those valid cognitions? What are the objects to be measured? Because both of these are vigorously established, so they are valid cognitions, because they are to be established, so they are objects to be measured, therefore I am doubtful about this, what are the valid cognitions, what are the objects to be measured? Valid cognitions themselves, cannot be established, not mutually, not by other valid cognitions, not by what is measured, not without cause. Oneself, that is, direct perception is direct perception itself, inference is inference itself, scripture is scripture itself, analogy is not analogy itself that is vigorously established, but mutually, that is, direct perception is by inference and analogy and scriptures, inference is by direct perception and analogy and scriptures, analogy is by direct perception and inference and scriptures, scripture is not by direct perception and inference and analogy, as it is in itself. Direct perception and inference and analogy and scriptures are not by direct perception and inference and analogy and other scriptures, all that is included by the object to be measured itself and others, nor is it one by one, nor is it without cause, nor is it all inclusive. Those reasons previously stated, twenty or thirty or forty or thirty-six cannot establish, then the objects to be measured that you speak of, because they are to be understood by valid cognition, so there are also objects to be measured, which of your valid cognitions can correctly understand the objects to be measured, there are also those valid cognitions, it is not right to say so. Furthermore, you said: People are skilled in the state of Dharma, For the Dharma of virtuous things, Thinking that it is the nature of virtue, And also with the remaining things.

This should be explained: One who is extremely proficient in the state of Dharma, goodness is of all Dharmas, one who speaks of the nature of goodness, should be well distinguished and stated in this way. One who is proficient in the state of Dharma, the nature of goodness of the Dharma of goodness, you should also distinguish well: this is the nature of goodness, these are the Dharmas of goodness, this is the discernment of goodness, this is the nature of the discernment of goodness. Likewise, everything should be instructed in this way. However, it is not instructed in this way, therefore, as its own nature, it is not permissible to say that the nature of the Dharmas has been instructed. Like this, also: If the nature of goodness of the Dharma of goodness, arises dependently, then, how does another thing become its own nature? If the nature of the Dharma of goodness arises dependent on the collection of causes and conditions, then, it arises dependent on the reality of another thing, how does the nature of the Dharma of goodness become established? The same applies to non-virtue and so on. Therefore, because both the nature of goodness of the Dharma of goodness has been instructed, and likewise the nature of non-virtue and so on of the Dharmas of non-virtue and so on has been instructed, it is not permissible to say so. Like this, also: Or, the nature of the Dharma of goodness does not arise dependent on anything, even so, it will not abide in pure conduct. Or, the nature of goodness of the Dharma of goodness does not arise dependent on anything, and it is thought that non-virtue and so on are also like that, if that is the case, then one will not abide in pure conduct. Why? Because if that is the case, then dependent origination is abandoned. Because dependent origination is abandoned, seeing dependent origination is abandoned, not having dependent origination is seeing, it is not appropriate as an object. If there is no seeing of dependent origination, then there is no seeing of Dharma. The Blessed One said: Bhikshu, whoever sees dependent origination,
