The Commentary on Refuting Arguments The Commentary on Refuting Arguments In Sanskrit: Vigraha Vyavartani Vritti. In Tibetan: The Commentary on Refuting Arguments. Homage to youthful Manjushri! If the nature of all things does not exist in everything, then your words also have no nature and cannot refute nature. If the nature of all things does not exist in all of the causes and conditions, the collection of causes and conditions, and the different things, then all things are empty. For example, a sprout does not exist in the seed that is the cause. It does not exist in each of the conditions such as water, fire, and wind. It does not exist in the collection of conditions. It does not exist in the collection of causes and conditions. It does not exist in the different things other than the collection of causes and conditions. Because nature does not exist in all of these, the sprout has no nature, so it is empty. Just as the sprout has no nature, because it has no nature, it is empty, in the same way, all things are empty because they have no nature. If you say that, if it is not like that, then your words, which say "all things are empty," are also empty. Why? Because it does not exist in the great elements that are the cause, nor in those that are similar, having, and not having. It does not exist in the conditions: chest, armpit, lips, tip of the tongue, gaps between the teeth, palate, nose, crown of the head, and so on, nor in effort. The collection of the two does not exist. The collection of causes and conditions does not exist. The different things other than the collection of causes and conditions do not exist. Because it does not exist in all of these, it is without nature, and because it is without nature, it is empty. Therefore, it cannot refute all things. Without fire, one cannot burn. Without a weapon, one cannot cut, and without water, one cannot soak. Similarly, without words, one cannot refute the nature of all things, so it is unreasonable to say that it obstructs the nature of all things. However, that word has nature, your previous vow.

Loss. If it is different, then please state the difference in reasoning. If you think that would be a fault, that is not acceptable, my words have inherent existence, therefore they are not empty. If you think that this negates the inherent existence of all things, then, if that is the case, then the previous pledge that all things are empty is lost. Like this, furthermore, your words are also included in everything, why is it that even though all things are empty, your words are not empty, and therefore they negate the inherent existence of all things, your words will not become empty? If that is the case, then it will fall into the fallacy of six statements. What is that like? However, if all things are empty, then your words are also empty, because they are included in everything. Emptiness itself does not reasonably negate, therefore, the negation that all things are empty is not reasonable. If it is reasonable, because it negates that all things are empty, therefore your words are also empty, because it is emptiness, therefore it does not reasonably negate. If all things are empty, and your words that negate are not empty, then your words are not included in everything, therefore it will become a contradictory example. If your words are included in everything, because all things are empty, therefore it is also empty. Therefore, it does not negate. If even though it is empty, it can negate that all things are empty, then even though all things are empty, it can still function, but that is not what is desired. If you think that becoming a contradictory example is not acceptable, all things are empty, therefore it cannot function, then even though your words are empty, it is not reasonable to negate the inherent existence of all things. If you still say that, then it will fall into the difference of some being empty and some not being empty. If it is different, then by what means is some emp
