Whatever is made by cause, That is neither dependent nor a cause. It has been shown to be nirvana. Arising and destruction, The Buddha taught to abandon. Therefore, for nirvana, It is reasonable that it is neither real nor unreal. If nirvana is both Real and unreal, If real and unreal become faults, then it is unreasonable. If nirvana is both Real and unreal, Nirvana is not non-dependent, Because those two are dependent. How is nirvana both Real and unreal? Nirvana is unconditioned, Real and unreal are conditioned. How is it that in nirvana There are both real and unreal? Those two do not exist in one place, Like light and darkness. What is shown as nirvana As neither real nor unreal? If real and unreal are established, then that is established. If nirvana is neither Real nor unreal, Who reveals that it is neither real nor unreal? The Blessed One, having entered nirvana, does not appear to exist. Likewise, He does not appear to be non-existent, both, or neither. The Blessed One, even when dwelling, does not appear to exist. Likewise, He does not appear to be non-existent, both, or neither. Between samsara and nirvana, There is not the slightest difference. Between nirvana and samsara, There is not the slightest difference. Whatever is the limit of nirvana, That is the limit of samsara. The slightest difference between these two Is not even extremely subtle. Views such as the end of what has passed, And views such as permanence, Nirvana and the future end, Depend on the past end. In the emptiness of all things, What is finite and what is infinite? What is finite and infinite? What is neither finite nor infinite? What is this and what is other? What is permanent and what is impermanent? What is both permanent and impermanent? What is neither? All objects are completely pacified, Elaboration is completely pacified, peaceful. The Buddha has not taught any dharma To anyone, anywhere. The chapter on the examination of nirvana, the twenty-fifth chapter, is complete. Again, obscured by ignorance
