Its arising is not only in the manner shown above, therefore it is not permissible to exist. The mere remaining experience, to prove that it is the ultimate truth, is very difficult. For example, the arising of knowledge in things like painting produces many appearances. These appearances are also only its own nature, and if they become something else, then it should not be experienced. Therefore, if it returns from many forms, how can it be said to be one? Oneness and multiplicity are natures that exist separately from each other, so it is impossible to exist together. Or, some people think that those forms of experience are not real, but due to illusion, they appear so diversely on the non-dual nature of knowledge. Then, what is the so-called "appearance"? Is it not impossible to understand the meaning of the word "appearance" other than the nature of experience? For example, the so-called "appearance" is the meaning of experience. If the eyes are damaged due to eye diseases, etc., why do they appear yellow and other colors even though they do not exist? To this, if it is said that it does not exist in the nature of the external environment, nor does it exist in the nature of knowledge, then how do they appear? Is this not refuting in the same way? If it is said that the knowledge of the single form of things like pillars is unique, that is not correct. Because from the distinction of this side, that side, and the middle part, etc., it will appear in many forms. Therefore, the mind is also impossible to be one, and if you do not analyze all things in detail, then it is best to maintain the nominal way of its nature. For example, the more detailed the analysis, the more unbearable the analysis becomes. Some people say that blue and yellow colors are not completely non-existent, because they are clearly experienced like experiencing happiness, etc. However, it is not the case that clinging to one knowledge as a part, and the second part turning into the nature of refutation. For example, inner happiness, etc. is the nature of self-awareness, not the part that is grasped by others.

Just as a pot and so forth do not exist externally. Similarly, white and so forth are also free from the conceptualizations of grasper and grasped. As it is said by the teacher Dharmakīrti: "The nature of blue and so forth, its nature is experience. Although its own nature is experience, it is proclaimed as experiencing blue and so forth. If it is not different from consciousness, how can it become a different object? Even if it is a generality, if it is the object itself, it would be the nature of consciousness." If you say that, there is no fault because it is accepted as such. Similarly, in the Sutra Unraveling the Intent of the Noble, it is also said that the image, the object of samādhi, is only not different from consciousness. Therefore, just like happiness and so forth, blue and so forth are also the nature of realization, which is experience itself. Then, would it be found that there are many consciousnesses at once? Answer: There is no fault because it is desired. Then, how is it taught that it is one nature? Answer: Like this, if one makes a partial distinction from other aspects, then there is no other consciousness to experience. Therefore, it cannot be said that another consciousness exists in one consciousness, because if consciousness does not experience, it should not exist, and consciousness is experience. Isn't this the same order for the outsiders as well? Although they do not experience, they completely accept it. Then, if blue and so forth are also the nature of consciousness, just like happiness and so forth, then why do they appear as external objects? This is due to the power of the seed of delusion that has been present since beginningless time. To this, others say that the Vipāka-vijñāna also appears as the body and the world of containers, and therefore it must be diverse. This also cannot be established as one nature, because the consciousness of remembering colorful drawings and so forth, which manifests various forms, is itself experience, and therefore it will also become diverse. If that is so, and that is of the same kind, the consciousness is definite, the conceptual thoughts arise gradually, and like this it is truly manifested. Such words of the Pramāṇavārttika are contradictory. Others say that all those forms are
