Because it did not exist before. Therefore, the venerable Shariputra, aiming to attain the miraculous transformations of the aspects of the Dharma, and the inconceivable and unparalleled fruit in this life, developed reverence for the speech of the venerable Manjushri, and for the sake of extreme praise, he thus addressed the Blessed One Manjushri: "This is inconceivable glory." Inconceivable means there is nothing superior. Glory refers to the wealth of qualities that transcend the world, such as wisdom, because this one possesses them. If someone asks, "For what reason is that?" this is the debater's thought: "How can you realize the perfect qualities that exist in other continuums?" Like this, for the time being, your direct perception of knowing the aspects of the mind is not able to manifest here, because by understanding the two selflessnesses, you are one whose faculty of wisdom is extremely sharp, and because you are close to the state of the Sugata. It is said in the sutra: "Earth and senses, sentient beings and the deceased, destruction and the unborn, there is no discrimination of those." That is the meaning. In such an object, there is also no subsequent inference. Like this, to know the faults and qualities of others, there is not necessarily a sign, because that is the Dharma of the mind, so it transcends the object of the senses. If one infers from the terms of one's own body and speech, the terms also exist only dependent on the wishes of the person, so it is not possible to change it. For one whose mind is extremely uncertain and who is like you, free from desire, it is extremely difficult to be spoken of by others. The answer to this is: Like this, whatever confidence this venerable one has, that confidence itself is inconceivable. This shows that the cause of special words is the knowledge of the differences in qualities that exist in other continuums, and the special words also, because they can show the meaning that possesses प्रमाण (pramāṇa, प्रमाण, pramana, valid cognition), can make the speaker truly understand, and see the excellence without confusion, and understand the thought of following the wishes of others. So, what is extremely unreasonable here for words? The Blessed One also completely saw all the remaining things to be spoken.

In order not to interrupt the transmission of the words of oral instructions, the debate is conducted, that is, like the words spoken by the venerable Sharadvati's son, etc. The Holy One also, in order to explain that very truth, eliminates the words spoken by the monk, that is, "O Bhagavan, if it is inconceivable, there will be no courage," etc. The meaning is like this, if it is said that all those courage are inconceivable, what will it show? Does the nature of the inconceivable appear as an image to be grasped? Or, does the nature of non-duality arise as the nature of the inconceivable? Is it because it has the nature of speech within that this is inconceivable? Thus, two situations arise. The venerable one thought, what is the difference between what I said and others? Thinking like this in his mind: sound and all its meanings will be able to be thought about, because they are the objects of discriminating consciousness. Are those not unreasonable statements? There is nothing that is not inconceivable. Therefore, the Blessed One said, "All sounds are inconceivable," and by saying sound, it also indicates its meaning. Thinking like this in his mind: are sound and meaning, these two, the nature of the manifestation of the nature of external form? Is it the nature of the universal? Or is it a characteristic that appears in the mind? If so, they would not become the objects of discriminating consciousness in the ultimate sense, and in everything, manifestation would not become dualistic, but would appear to go elsewhere. If knowledge belongs to the path, how can other meanings be accomplished? Therefore, these inverted discriminating sounds and meanings are all completely determined, arising from beginningless habits, completely contrary to one's own thoughts. That's how it is said. Eliminating the third view, that is, the sound of inconceivability itself cannot be expressed. The so-called inconceivability itself is the nature of the inconceivable. The so-called sound refers to the meaning of sound, because it follows the form of sound, so sound is spoken of the meaning of sound. If the meaning of sound does not exist, then what does it matter if it contradicts the nature?
