It is called "becoming mind," and mind refers to the remainder. In the realm of Dharma, there is no arising that did not exist before. Therefore, the Tathagata, being of a nature devoid of duality, also has no arising that did not exist before. Therefore, do not think, "I am like that," this is his intention. Manjushri, do you not say that the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, have completely passed into Nirvana? This shows the second question. The Bhagavat himself wished to answer this question, and so he asked: "Bhagavat, are the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, not of the same realm in such an inconceivable realm?" The same realm refers to the same basis, like the realm of fish is water. Because of the same realm, what is asked is what is the same realm? It is said, "In such an inconceivable realm." "Thus" is a connecting word, a synonym for "like this." Those whose realm is inconceivable, it is said thus. "Inconceivable" refers to the idea of the Dharma realm being extremely pure, because it cannot be thought of in any way. Therefore, it is shown thus: Do the Bhagavat, who are completely purified, born, and possess the essence of compassion, rely on the Dharma realm as their nature? Or do they not rely on it? Manjushri, it is so, and so on. If it is so certain, then set it aside for a moment. This question was also asked: "Does the Bhagavat Shakyamuni Buddha abide thus?" Manjushri, it is so, the Buddha replied. If it is so, then it is established that the Tathagatas do not abide in Nirvana. Thinking this, for the sake of the Bhagavat Shakyamuni Buddha abiding, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, such as Kashyapa Buddha and others, those who have been considered for a long time after Nirvana, have they all completely passed into Nirvana? What is the reason for that? This means, what is the connection here? If one abides, then all abide. Like this, everything follows the nature of one, which is not the case.

If someone asks: Is it possible to attain enlightenment separately just because of different gatherings? The answer is: The Blessed One, the Buddha, the Blessed Ones, and so on, are like this. The meaning is like this: Just like the great purity of the Blessed One Shakyamuni's power, and the realm of the essence of compassion, still exist now, and it is not a complete extinction of the nature of cessation. Similarly, those are also its essence, so that is not reasonable. For example, even in the state of a Bodhisattva's very pure power and weak compassion, they temporarily observe the time for sentient beings to fully mature and remain for immeasurable time. Even after attaining enlightenment, because of the power of great purity and the attainment of great compassion, who among the faithful would not believe in the Tathagatas who remain in order to quickly benefit countless sentient beings? Therefore, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, are only non-abiding nirvana. If someone says that although the Blessed One Shakyamuni, who is distinguished by karma, is already unborn, but those future noble Maitreya and others are also worried that they will become like that, therefore, the Blessed One said: Therefore, the Blessed One himself said that when he attains perfect enlightenment, and so on. Just like the nature of permanence and so on, those distinguished by karma are contrary to valid cognition, because they are unborn at all times, so when the Blessed One Shakyamuni appears with a very pure nature and attains perfect enlightenment, those future Tathagatas, such as Maitreya, should also be regarded only as attaining perfect enlightenment, because the reason is consistent with that essence, and because all Tathagatas are enlightened with equality. It is unreasonable for the reasons to be the same in every way, but the results are different. Those who do not understand that this equality is taken into consideration and spoken say: Why is that? Even though the natures are different, if one attains perfect enlightenment, how can one possess it from beyond that?
