It is called "not becoming an object of focus," and the special object of focus refers to those attachments and the state of dwelling upon them. The reason for this is, how can there not be an object of focus when there is consciousness belonging to samsara? In this way, consciousness is the nature of doing two things, and in this way, because of being able to know and knowing, it is consciousness. If there is no object of focus, then what does consciousness know? Therefore, here it is said that all dharmas are not objects of focus because of non-existence. Saying all dharmas, here it refers to consciousness itself, and in this way, others say that it has an object of focus. Saying "because of non-existence" means showing the nature of consciousness, and in this way, this consciousness relies on the object that one wants to grasp, and is considered to be consciousness. Because it does not exist, the other inclusive nature is also negated. Therefore, this is like the consciousness of a Gandharva city, even if it is the nature of consciousness without another, but when consciousness is confused, it will show the appearance of being able to know and being able to touch, and relying on it, it is considered to be consciousness. But in reality, it cannot be said that it is consciousness, because there is no object to be known. In this way, for the time being, it is recognized that any causes such as afflictions do not exist, and cannot be indicated anywhere. Saying "for this" means because of non-existence, there is no object of focus for these dharmas. Some people, even if they are spoken by great elephants without the words of the Blessed One, cannot quickly understand the praise, therefore, in order to merely generate joy for the Blessed One, they also accepted the three praises, so they said "it is so." The first acceptance is "definitely becoming enlightenment." The second is "abiding in the irreversible ground."

It is also said that this is an unshakeable state. Taking it on the crown of the head shows extreme devotion. If it is indeed non-retrogression due to faith, then is it not necessary to give alms and so on? Therefore, (the Buddha) said, "They will become excellent patrons," etc., and by teaching the path of perfectly pure Paramitas, he clarifies the state of non-retrogression. The statement "until one possesses all kinds of excellence and all-knowing wisdom" is the final promise. The two occurrences of "these and those" are the concluding words of (the Buddha) being pleased and saying with certainty, "It is so, it is so," in order to correctly enter into skillful means and wisdom. Among them, giving is of three kinds: giving of material things, giving of fearlessness, and giving of Dharma. In this regard, (they) are called excellent patrons, great patrons, and especially superior patrons. Discipline also has three aspects: the discipline of vows, the discipline of gathering virtuous Dharmas, and the discipline of benefiting sentient beings. In this regard, there are four sentences such as "one will become a complete discipline." Among them, the first sentence is a word of teaching, or the last sentence is a word of conclusion. The statement "to become the supreme possessor of discipline" refers to those who possess the qualities that are both discipline and supreme. The statement "the possessor of discipline will become especially superior" refers to those who possess discipline, are especially superior, and are supreme. The path of qualities is the path of qualities, and discipline itself is the path of qualities, so it will be obtained. The statement "having heard this teaching and having faith" refers to being certain that "it is so." The statement "the excellence of patience" refers to those who have no object of focus, and with inexhaustible wisdom, everything that is said from the teachings and so on. The word "in between" indicates possessing the Paramitas of skillful means and aspiration, as well as power and wisdom. The phrase "all kinds" refers to the qualities of individual correct knowledge and great compassion, etc., which should be proclaimed, that is, possessing these qualities and being related to them.
