is a concluding word. These are to more clearly point out the dharmas of ordinary beings, such as "not particularly clinging," etc., in order to elaborate on the previously briefly stated content, and in order to completely eliminate the conceptualization of entities, therefore (the Buddha) asked, "Manjushri, do you see these perfect Shravakas of mine?" and asked, "Do you see those who follow what they have heard from others and attain the most excellent liberation of mind?" (Manjushri) replied, "World Honored One, I see them." "How, in what way, do you see?" This is asking about the way of seeing, that is, asking what the way of seeing is. (Manjushri) said in detail, "World Honored One, how can I not see them as ordinary beings?" From the perspective of each going separately, they are ordinary beings. A trainee refers to the seven types from stream-enterer to arhat, because there is something to be learned. A non-trainee refers to an arhat, because the learning is complete. The thought arose: For ordinary beings, trainees, and those who have completed learning, because it is impossible to determine a single self-nature, and because nothing else has arisen apart from that, therefore they have not been seen. The so-called "not seen, nor not seen, but seen in that way" refers to seeing without conceptualization, and is a concluding word. The word "that way" should be paired with each word. There is nothing visible, and there is no clinging to self, that is seeing. Having eliminated the conceptualization of self-nature in this way, starting from "in this way, not seeing much either," etc., it is to eliminate the conceptualization of quantity and the conceptualization of difference. The so-called "in this way" means "because of what." In some texts, there is no "in this way," but rather "until," which is to show the way of seeing. The so-called "much" refers to ordinary beings. The so-called "few" refers to trainees and non-trainees. The so-called "tamed" refers to being tamed by being separated from non-virtue, or being tamed by the difference of virtue. The opposite of this is untamed. It goes up to not seeing the quantity of much and few, and the difference between tamed and untamed. Each

After showing the retinue of the Shravakas, he asked about the retinue of the Bodhisattvas. Manjushri said: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the Dharma called Bodhisattva, etc., was spoken. The practice of the Bodhisattvas is of four kinds, namely, the characteristics of armor, entering, gathering, and definitely entering. Among them, taking armor as an example, in terms of practice, because there is the thought of a Bodhisattva here, the so-called Bodhisattva is not seen in any way. If one looks at the Dharma of any Bodhisattva, it is imperceptible, until that statement. Therefore, whoever has truly entered for the sake of enlightenment, and likewise, whoever practices in that assembly, and whoever manifestly attains enlightenment and definitely gives, the Dharma, the entity, is not truly seen in any way, so I see the vehicle of the perfectly enlightened Buddha. In order to dispel the conceptualization of the Tathagata, he asked: Manjushri, how do you see the Tathagata Shakyamuni Buddha or other Buddhas? Venerable Sharadvatiputra said: Elephant, put it down, etc. The elephant is the Naga King, the ocean, etc., which are the cause of abundant crops and fruits, pacifying the suffering of thirst, and pouring down the taste of nectar, which is a unique cause. The Bhagavan also cuts off the craving for existence and enjoyment, becomes the cause of happiness for the Lord of the Gods, etc., makes the virtuous crops abundant, and pours down the taste of the nectar of Dharma, which is a unique cause, and because it is in accordance with this Dharma, it is called the Great Dragon. Put it down means do not urge. The Tathagata refers to the appearance of the Tathagata's body in the minds of the beings to be tamed, because it is said that that itself is the Tathagata-nature, so it is the meaning of the word that can determine the characteristics of the teacher himself, because the superior intention of striving and saving, etc., arises, and joy does not take away diligence.
