For the sake of attaining perfect enlightenment, we must also, within this assembly, diligently engage in instructing, subsequently revealing, and truly practicing for these Bodhisattvas. When the former realizes through the stages he has indicated to us, he will manifestly attain perfect enlightenment. Therefore, we should repay the kindness of the previous Shravakas. Thus it is said. ངོན་གྱི་ means previous. ཚངས་པ་ means Nirvana. Therefore, conduct is Brahma-conduct. The phrase "when practicing it" means for the sake of Bodhi. Practicing the conduct of Bodhi is a synonym for this phrase. The meaning of "who I" is imperishable, similar to the agent. "Instructing" means truly practicing as instruction. ཁ་ད་ means clear speech, and the reason for saying this is that it also explains the meaning from ཛ་ to other letters. "Having instructed" refers to arising from certain aspects. དེར་བ་ད་ refers to the object being taught, because this realm has many meanings. "Should completely uphold" means should instruct. "Should completely surround" means should subsequently reveal. The following words have the meaning of truth and correctness. "We" is because Shravakas also have their own terms for themselves and those of their own kind. I will tell you. It is explained as "Kaushika, listen." Just as when rain falls, water does not function on three types of vessels: water cannot enter a vessel turned upside down; entering an unclean place will cause defilement; and water cannot stay in a vessel with a hole in the bottom. Similarly, for the three vessels of the listener's mind, even if the rain of Dharma falls, the water of the Dharma of the speaker will not function. In the case of being distracted by not hearing, etc., it cannot enter; in the case of entering with improper attention, it will be destroyed; and in the case of forgetting mindfulness, it cannot stay. In order to eliminate these three faults, it is said to listen well and keep it in mind. These are the faults of listening.

Do not become three states, which means to listen to the Dharma with reverence. How to abide, this is said to answer the previous question of Indra. How to abide, meaning that for emptiness, that is, for the emptiness of all dharmas. To abide in this is to abide in the Prajnaparamita, which is the nature of understanding the path. Because emptiness and Prajnaparamita have the same nature. By stopping the dwelling, it is shown to dwell in the Prajnaparamita. Therefore, and so on. Not clinging to all dharmas is the great armor of the Bodhisattva, and the clinging to it is shown in three ways: one should not dwell in the dharmas, this is the first; one should not dwell in the nature of the Dharma, this is the second; one should not dwell in the individuals, this is the third. There are also two ways to practice the Dharma: expounding the Dharma and practicing the nature of the Dharma. Among them, starting from "one should not dwell in form" until "one should not dwell in the Buddha himself", this is the exposition of the Dharma. Similarly, from "such form" one should not dwell, until "such Buddha" one should not dwell, this is the exposition of the nature of the Dharma. From "form is permanent and impermanent" one should not dwell, starting until "the Buddha himself is distinguished by the unconditioned", one should not dwell, this is the exposition of the Dharma nature. Starting from "the stream-enterer is the place of giving" and ending with "the complete Nirvana of the Buddha will attain Nirvana", this is the exposition of the individual. Among them, for stopping dwelling in the Dharma, starting from form until one should not dwell in consciousness, this is stopping dwelling in all afflictive dharmas. Starting from one should not dwell in the fruit of stream-entry, etc., this is stopping dwelling in pure dharmas. In some sutras, after one should not dwell in consciousness, it is additionally added that one should not dwell in the eye, until one should not dwell in the limbs of the path. Among them, for the eye,
