And, he knows that those who have the faculty of diligence should be combined with wisdom, those who have the faculty of wisdom should be combined with meditation, and those who have the faculty of meditation should be combined with wisdom. Furthermore, he knows that those who have the faculty of mindfulness should be combined with right exertion, and those who have the faculty of right exertion should be combined with mindfulness, and so on. The dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment should also be combined in this way. Furthermore, he knows that those who have the faculty of inner emptiness should abide in outer emptiness, and so on, and all emptinesses should be combined in this way. Furthermore, he knows that those who have the faculty of hearers should be combined with self-enlightenment, those who have the faculty of self-enlightenment should be combined with hearers, those who have the faculty of hearers should be combined with solitary buddhas, those who have the faculty of solitary buddhas should be combined with hearers, those who have the faculty of self-enlightenment should be combined with buddhas, those who have the faculty of buddhas should be combined with self-enlightenment, those who have the faculty of samsara should be combined with arising, and those who have the faculty of arising things should be combined with samsara. Having understood all of these, he teaches the Dharma in accordance with them. This is the power of knowing the superior and non-superior faculties. That which is called "knowing thoroughly the path of going in all ways as it is" is that the Tathagata thoroughly knows the realm of beings who are definitely on the right path, those who are definitely on the wrong path, and the realm of beings who are not definite. Moreover, he also knows the paths that are in accordance with those who are definitely on the right path and those who are not definite. For those who are definitely on the wrong path, he knows that they should be treated with equanimity. Bodhisattvas don armor for the sake of these beings. He also knows the three paths of desire: there is the path of desire that arises from the aspect of suffering, there is the path of desire that arises from the aspect of attachment, and there is also the path of desire that arises from the power of habituation in previous lives. The path of hatred arises from the basis of universal torment, there is also anger that arises from signs, and also that which arises from previous causes. The path of delusion is with knowledg
