Completing the accumulation of merit, purifying the Buddha-fields, abiding in the heart of Bodhi, and being able to turn the wheel of Dharma, thus it is taught. The question is, "World-Honored One, should one train in the Prajnaparamita by means of the Prajnaparamita?" As explained earlier, since all dharmas are of one taste in Suchness, without any distinction, then by the Prajnaparamita itself, to train in the Prajnaparamita, one cannot train oneself by oneself. For example, just as a sword cannot cut itself, thus it is held and questioned. Subhuti, one should train in the Prajnaparamita, thus it is said, meaning that with wisdom and skillful means in accordance, it is said to be trainable, thus briefly indicated. Desiring to gain mastery over all dharmas, one should train in the Prajnaparamita, thus it is said, which is a brief indication of the foregoing. This is to explain its meaning: with wisdom realizing that all dharmas are of one taste in emptiness in the ultimate truth, and with skillful means, in the manner of not clinging to things in the conventional truth, training in the Prajnaparamita, then one can master all dharmas, thus it is taught. To master all dharmas means to train in a way that combines skillful means and wisdom, without clinging to anything, in a non-referential manner. Why is that? That which obtains the ground of mastering all dharmas is the Prajnaparamita, thus it is said, meaning that by training in the Prajnaparamita, one will obtain the wisdom of mastering all dharmas, thus it is taught. The ground of mastery refers to the wisdom of realizing Suchness. This Prajnaparamita is the gate of all dharmas, thus it is said, meaning that by training in the Prajnaparamita, one will realize that all dharmas are of one taste in Suchness, thus it is taught. For example, just as the great ocean is the gate of all rivers, etc., all rivers converge into the great ocean,

Just as salt dissolves in water and becomes one taste, all dharmas converge into the Perfection of Wisdom and likewise become one taste. Therefore, those who teach the three vehicles should also study this Perfection of Wisdom. This is what is taught. Subhuti, therefore, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should study the Perfection of Giving, etc. Like this, the Perfection of Wisdom is the gateway to all dharmas, so after being completely embraced by the Perfection of Wisdom, until reaching the attainment of all-knowingness, one should study all pure dharmas. This is what is taught. Subhuti, for example, an archery teacher holding a skillful and powerful bow is difficult for enemies and counter-attackers to overcome, etc. This shows the analogy of not being overcome by enemies such as afflictions, from being in control of all dharmas by practicing the union of skillful means and wisdom. Brave and skilled archers, holding a bow that is skillfully used, become small and controlled, so enemies etc. are difficult to defeat. Similarly, Bodhisattvas who combine skillful means and wisdom and have mastery over all dharmas, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, are also difficult for demons etc. to overcome. This is what is taught. Thus, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present will remember. This means that Bodhisattvas who have mastery over all dharmas like this, when studying the Perfection of Wisdom, will be blessed and empowered to practice without attachment or focus on any dharma. This is what is taught. Request: How do the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, remember Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practicing the Perfection of Giving, etc.? This is asked in order to show in detail how the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, remember. The Bhagavat said: Subhuti, here, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, remember Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practicing the Perfection of Giving.

Considering conduct, in any case, not clinging to the perfection of generosity, considering in that way, etc., Bodhisattvas combine skillful means and wisdom, and having mastery over all dharmas, in ultimate truth, they do not cling to any dharma, and in conventional truth, it is not that they do not practice the perfections, etc., they also practice those, without attachment or clinging to anything, and without being controlled by afflictions and demons, etc., they bless and consider, this is what is to be explained. Subhuti, furthermore, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not consider Bodhisattvas, great beings, as form, etc., Bodhisattvas themselves also, from form, etc., all aspects up to the state of omniscience, in ultimate truth, they do not cling to any dharma as a real entity and consider it, but in conventional truth, they only consider it as worldly expressions, this is what is to be explained. Request, Bhagavat, Bodhisattvas, great beings, should also train in many places, and should not train in any place, etc., in conventional truth, they train in many pure dharmas such as the six perfections, in ultimate truth, there is no dharma to be trained in that way that can be clung to, this is what is to be explained. Request, Bhagavat, if the Tathagata explains these dharmas in brief and in detail, etc., in ultimate truth, it is explained that one should realize that all dharmas become one taste in suchness, this is a brief explanation. In conventional truth, the individual characteristics of the dharmas are explained separately, this is a detailed explanation. Request, Bhagavat, how can Bodhisattvas, great beings, understand the brief and detailed aspects of all dharmas? This is asked in order to explain in detail the meaning of understanding the brief and detailed aspects of all dharmas.
