Because it is inseparable (from emptiness), the three circles are completely pure, therefore there is no attachment to anything, this is the characteristic of emptiness. Because it changes due to the causes and conditions of the increase of merit, therefore it is the completely imputed, from the nature of the complete purity of the three circles, how can the merit generated by causes and conditions increase? Subhuti paid great attention to this and asked. World Honored One, without manifest fabrication, one cannot generate right view, or one cannot enter correctly without fault, from "cannot" to "cannot attain the unexcelled perfect enlightenment," it also explains in detail the above-mentioned emphasis and requests. The World Honored One taught: Subhuti, it is just like that, it is just like that! From "it is just like that" to "cannot attain the unexcelled perfect enlightenment," it shows that Subhuti's emphasis is precisely the reasonable emphasis and asking.

Through the waves of 'na' and the power of past aspirations, without conceptualization or discrimination, spontaneously accomplishing, the accumulation of merit is immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable, and it is not that it does not increase, thus it is taught. Asked, "Bhagavan, what is the difference between countless, inconceivable, and immeasurable? What is the distinction?" This is because all dharmas are without substance in the ultimate truth, and to initiate a discussion about how number, thought, and measure cannot be exhausted, Subhuti asked. The Bhagavan replied, "Subhuti, the term 'countless' means that it cannot even approach being counted in the realm of the conditioned or the unconditioned." This is because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence in the ultimate truth, and one cannot count and definitively say with words, "These are counted as the number of the conditioned, these are counted as the number of the unconditioned," this is the meaning. "Subhuti, the term 'inconceivable' means that one cannot determine the measure of dharmas that have arisen in the past, future, and present." This is because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence in the ultimate truth, and the nature of the dharmas of the three times is like this, wisdom cannot measure it, thus it is taught. "Subhuti, the term 'immeasurable' means that which cannot be measured." This is because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, and one cannot use scales and the like to measure and determine its quantity, this is the meaning. Asked, "Bhagavan, by what means does form also become countless, inconceivable, immeasurable, is there such a means?" And so on, "Does consciousness also become countless, inconceivable, immeasurable, is there such a means?" This is because, just as the increase of merit is countless, inconceivable, and immeasurable, the five aggregates are also not truly existent in the ultimate truth, and to distinguish the circumstances in which countless, inconceivable, and immeasurable are spoken of, Subhuti asked. The Bhagavan replied, "Subhuti, by what means..." and so on, "Consciousness also becomes countless, inconceivable, immeasurable, there is such a means."
