The Great Vehicle of the Great Hero is like this: From "internal emptiness" onwards, up to "Ravishing, this is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva," it is taught that the eighteen emptinesses are the Great Vehicle. Among them, what is internal emptiness? And so on, this is the teaching of internal emptiness. Between the eye and the mind, the six internal sense bases are occupied by me and my body and mind, therefore they are called internal dharmas. Because they are impermanent and indestructible, it is said that "the eye is empty of the eye." If the eye were something, and the constant nature were all impermanent natures, then ultimately, because the eye is not a thing, it is not a constant nature, therefore it is impermanent. Because it is not an impermanent nature, it is indestructible. Thus, because there is no thing, and it is impermanent and indestructible, the eye is empty of the nature of the eye, therefore it is said that "the eye is empty of the eye." Why? Because its nature is such. It means that the eye does not have the nature of the eye, that is its nature, it is not made empty by being destroyed by other causes. Similarly, all the following, such as the ear, should also be understood in this way. What is external emptiness? And so on, this is the teaching of external emptiness. The six objects from form to dharma are objects of external observation, and because they are not completely occupied by me and my body and mind, they are called external dharmas. Their meaning of emptiness is the same as before. What is internal-external emptiness? And so on, this is the teaching of internal-external emptiness. Internal dharmas are empty of external dharmas, and external dharmas are empty of internal dharmas, meaning that the twelve internal and external sense bases are each empty of their own nature, which has been said before, so here the internal sense bases also do not have the nature of external sense bases, and the external sense bases also do not have the nature of internal sense bases, therefore it is internal-external emptiness. What is emptiness of emptiness? And so on, this is the teaching of emptiness of emptiness.

That is, the so-called "emptiness by the emptiness of all dharmas" refers to the emptiness of all dharmas, but it itself does not have the nature of emptiness, but because its nature is empty, it is called emptiness. So, what is great emptiness? And so on, this is to explain great emptiness. The ten directions of the container world, etc., are vast, wide, and have a large foundation, and their lack of self-nature is called great emptiness. So, what is ultimate emptiness? And so on, this is to explain ultimate emptiness. Nirvana is called ultimate because it is the most supreme and pure among the dharmas that are ultimately attained. Or, from another perspective, it is the object or meaning of realization of holy wisdom, so it is called ultimate. The lack of self-nature of Nirvana is called ultimate emptiness. So, what is conditioned emptiness? And so on, this is to explain conditioned emptiness. The dharmas that arise and exist in the three realms are caused and produced by the aggregation of causes and conditions such as karma and afflictions, so they are called conditioned dharmas. The lack of self-nature of these dharmas is called conditioned emptiness. So, what is unconditioned emptiness? And so on, this is to explain unconditioned emptiness. The dharma that is unborn, unceasing, and does not change from existence to another state is called unconditioned dharma. This is to explain the nature of unconditioned dharma, that is, it is not caused and produced by the aggregation of causes and conditions such as karma and afflictions. Therefore, those dharmas that are unborn, unceasing, and do not change from existence to another state are called unconditioned dharmas. These dharmas include space, suchness, cessation by discrimination, and cessation without discrimination. The lack of self-nature of these dharmas is called unconditioned emptiness. So, what is transcendence of extremes emptiness? And so on, this is to explain transcendence of extremes emptiness. Not clinging to any extreme such as the extreme of permanence and the extreme of annihilation,

The absence of inherent existence is what is called emptiness that transcends extremes. Among these, what is emptiness without beginning or end? And so on, this is to show emptiness without beginning or end. For that in which no beginning is perceived, and no end is perceived, in that, going is not perceived, coming is not perceived. For samsara, neither the beginning is perceived nor the end is perceived. Since there is no beginning and no end, the middle is also not perceived. Thus, since there are no two extremes and no middle, going and coming are not perceived. Thus, the very absence of inherent existence of samsara is called emptiness without beginning or end. Among these, what is emptiness without abandonment? And so on, this is to show emptiness without abandonment. That in which nothing is abandoned, that is, nirvana without remainder of aggregates. Abandonment refers to the five aggregates with outflows. When these five aggregates enter nirvana without remainder of aggregates, they cease to exist, therefore it is called without abandonment. The nature of without abandonment, that is, nirvana, its emptiness of its own nature is called emptiness without abandonment. In the context of ultimate emptiness, the nirvana that is explained is nirvana with remainder of aggregates, which is understood from the characteristic of being free from afflictions. Here, it refers to nirvana without remainder of aggregates, so it will not be repetitive. Among these, what is emptiness of inherent existence? And so on, this is to show emptiness of inherent existence. The inherent existence of all conditioned or unconditioned dharmas is empty from the beginning, therefore, the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and
