The unconditioned dharmas, the nature of those dharmas not existing, is called the emptiness of all dharmas. Among them, what is emptiness of self-nature? Such as this and so on, is to show the emptiness of self-nature, that is, the conditioned and unconditioned dharmas are not truly existent, therefore they also have no self-nature, it is called emptiness of self-nature. Other characteristics are all exhausted in self-contradiction, so there is no need to repeat them. Let's briefly describe a few that need to be explained, that is, "the element is the nature of affliction", which means that the eighteen elements are the cause of samsara. The perfection of discipline is "the nature of complete absence of torment", which means that those who have discipline do not have faults, so they do not regret it later, and there is no torment in their hearts. The perfection of diligence is "the nature of being invincible", which means that those who have diligence are not trampled and cannot be overcome by obstacles such as demons. The perfection of meditation is "the nature of true integration", which means that those who have meditation have a single-pointed mind, and the fruit of meditation, such as magical powers, matures sentient beings and integrates the roots of virtue. The perfection of wisdom is "the nature of non-attachment", which means that wisdom realizes that all dharmas have no self-nature, so it becomes unattached to anything. Meditation, the four immeasurables, and the form absorptions are all "the nature of non-disturbance", which means that these meditations, etc., are free from mental wandering and disturbance. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are "the nature of arising", which means that the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, such as the four mindfulnesses, are the cause of arising from samsara and attaining nirvana. The emptiness of the door of liberation is "the nature of solitude", which means realizing that all dharmas are empty and not mixed with anything. The signlessness of the door of liberation is "the nature of peace", which means not clinging to various signs.

Because you are peaceful. The nature of liberation gate without aspiration is called eliminating suffering, because it does not cling to and does not desire the happiness of the three realms, so there is no suffering to obtain it. Liberation is the nature of complete liberation, the eight liberations are called liberation, because they are liberated from clinging to the body and other things of the three realms. The powers are the nature of complete realization, such as knowing the place and non-place, etc. The ten powers of the Tathagata, because they are the nature of wisdom, are called the nature of complete realization. Fearlessness is the nature of complete demonstration, because it has four fearlessnesses, it will not be suppressed and transformed by demons and other heretics. The various distinct knowledges are the nature of being unbreakable, because they have four qualities such as various distinct knowledges, they cannot be hindered by demons and others. Great joy is the nature of extreme joy, because when sentient beings obtain the perfection of the world and beyond, the Bodhisattva himself will be extremely joyful as if he had obtained it, or when the Bodhisattva obtains the first ground, when he thoroughly realizes the purity of the Dharma realm, a great power of joy will arise. Great equanimity is the nature of non-contamination, because there is no love or hatred for enemies and friends, and the mind is equal, so it is equal and not mixed with the mind of love and hatred. The eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha are the nature of being unseizable, because the Tathagata has no confusion, etc., and cannot be reduced or damaged by demons and heretics, etc. The wisdom of all-knowingness is the nature of direct perception, because the wisdom of all-knowingness is for all objects to be known, just like putting an amalaka fruit in the palm of the hand, without obscuration and obstruction, directly and clearly realizing it.

For the sake of non-destruction. What is the characteristic of conditioned dharmas, and what is the characteristic of unconditioned dharmas? All those dharmas with their respective characteristics are empty. This is a brief explanation of the meaning of self-nature emptiness. In short, all unconditioned dharmas are without substance in ultimate truth, so their characteristics do not exist, therefore they are empty. This is the meaning. Among them, what is unobtainable emptiness? And so on, this is showing unobtainable emptiness. The past has already become without substance, the future has not yet become a substance, and the present arising does not establish abiding in the manner of an instant, so it is called unobtainable. That very unobtainable is also not existent, so it is called unobtainable emptiness. Among them, what is the emptiness of the nature of non-things? And so on, this is showing the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Because all dharmas arise dependently, there is no nature of aggregation. This means that when all dharmas arise, they arise from the power of the aggregation of causes and conditions, and there is no self-arising that does not rely on others. Whatever arises from the power of causes and conditions and others is not truly arisen. What arises from aggregation has no self-nature, that is its meaning. Therefore, it is said that aggregation is empty of aggregation, which shows that what arises from the aggregation of causes and conditions is not truly arisen, so it is empty of the nature of aggregation. Furthermore, Subhuti, things are empty of things, etc., this is explaining the emptiness of the nature of non-things in another way. Having mentioned non-things, the existence of things is also established. Having mentioned the two, existence and non-existence, it is also necessary to examine one's own things and the things of others. Therefore, things are empty of things. Non-things are empty of non-things. Self-nature is empty of self-nature. The things of others are empty of the things of others, thus it is divided into four types to explain. That
