The reason for saying "show" is that worldly dharmas such as aggregates and realms, after knowing the aspects of impermanence, etc., are to be abandoned, so it is not said to show the Dharma for the sake of cultivation. The six perfections and the eighteen emptinesses are naturally accustomed to by Bodhisattvas from the beginning, so it is not said to show the Dharma. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, such as the four mindfulnesses, the four noble truths, the four meditations, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the three doors of liberation, and the six superknowledges, are common dharmas of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas, and are also dharmas to be cultivated, so it is said to show the Dharma for the sake of cultivation. Even though the samadhis and dharani doors have become uncommon dharmas of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, they are also common dharmas of the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and are also to be attained by Bodhisattvas after cultivation, so it is said to show the Dharma for the sake of cultivation. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha are the realm of the Tathagata, and are the resultant dharmas, which are to be attained by the Bodhisattvas, so it is said to show the Dharma for the sake of cultivation. For omniscience and enlightenment, impermanence, etc., are not mentioned, but only cultivation is mentioned, because these two are the nature of Suchness, so impermanence, etc., are impossible. Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, if he hears this exposition of the Prajnaparamita, he will be afraid, terrified, and frightened, because he is not skilled in means, he will fall into the hands of evil friends, and he will be completely abandoned by virtuous friends." Thus, the Bodhi mind

A great courageous one should recognize evil friends, and having recognized them, should completely abandon them. This passage explains the skillful means of completely abandoning evil friends. In this regard, the Blessed One said: "Rabjor, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he should cultivate and focus on the Prajnaparamita with a mind devoid of all aspects of knowledge, and become arrogant with the Prajnaparamita," and so on, "cultivate and focus on the Dana Paramita, and become arrogant with the Dana Paramita. Thus, Rabjor, it should be known that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is not skilled in the method of practicing the Prajnaparamita." This passage explains the unskilled method of cultivating the six paramitas. Being unskilled in this way is also due to not having good spiritual friends and relying on evil friends. Therefore, one should be skilled in abandoning such transforming evil friends, as explained. "Rabjor, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he should, with a mind devoid of all aspects of knowledge, contemplate form as emptiness of the interior. In the manner of focusing, he also focuses on the emptiness of the interior, and also becomes arrogant with emptiness," and so on, "when he practices the Prajnaparamita, he should, with a mind devoid of all aspects of knowledge, contemplate old age and death as emptiness of the nature of non-things. In the manner of focusing, he also focuses on the emptiness of the nature of non-things, and also becomes arrogant with emptiness." This passage explains that the five aggregates, the twelve sources, the eighteen elements, the six contacts, the six feelings arising from contact, the six elements such as the earth element, and the twelve links of dependent origination, each combined with the eighteen emptinesses, focusing on the emptinesses in the manner of focusing on things.

Furthermore, it is shown that one should not dedicate the roots of virtue to the attainment of omniscience because of clinging to views and even being arrogant with emptiness, and because of being unskilled in means. The reason for this is that it arises from not having a virtuous friend and relying on evil companions, so one should be skilled in the means of abandoning evil companions who cause this to happen. Furthermore, Subhuti, when that Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he meditates on the mindfulnesses that are without mental activity and endowed with omniscience, and he focuses on those mindfulnesses by way of objectification, and he is arrogant with those mindfulnesses, and so on. When he practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he meditates on the unmixed qualities of the Buddhas that are without mental activity and endowed with omniscience, and he focuses on those unmixed qualities of the Buddhas by way of objectification, and he is arrogant with those unmixed qualities of the Buddhas, and so on. That is to say, when meditating on the four mindfulnesses, the four perfect abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the noble eightfold path, the four noble truths, the four concentrations, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the three doors of liberation, the six superknowledges, the concentrations, the gates of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great compassion, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddhas, because he does not have a virtuous friend and relies on evil companions, he focuses on those dharmas as real entities, and he is arrogant with those dharmas, and because he is unskilled in means, it is shown that he does not dedicate the roots of virtue to omniscience. Therefore, one should be skilled in the means of abandoning evil companions who cause this to happen.
