The saying, "There is no such dharma to be grasped or abandoned," means that if there is something to be grasped, then what should be abandoned can also be established. However, since there is nothing to be grasped according to the order described above, abandonment cannot be established either. The absence of grasping also implies the absence of abandonment. "Bhagavan, since all dharmas are not to be grasped, therefore not grasping form, not grasping feeling," and so on, until "since all dharmas are not to be grasped, therefore not grasping the limit of reality, this is the perfection of wisdom that has no other shore, it is the perfection of wisdom of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas," this section explains the benefit of establishing non-grasping. Because all phenomena named in the world and beyond are not established as real entities, not grasping anything as real is the perfection of wisdom of the Bodhisattva. The term "perfection of wisdom that has no other shore" means that if there is an entity, there will be another shore and this shore. But here, because all dharmas are realized to be without entity, there is no other shore. Thus, realizing the absence of another shore is itself the perfection or ultimate, hence it is called the perfection of wisdom. However, from "until the aspiration is not completely fulfilled, one will not completely pass into nirvana in the intermediate state" to "until the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha are not completely fulfilled, one will not completely pass into nirvana in the intermediate state," it shows that the constant practitioner has faith in the signlessness of all dharmas and that it is the merit of being of the Buddha-nature. Although in the ultimate truth, one realizes that all dharmas cannot be grasped, in the relative truth, if one has not perfected the accumulation of merit and wisdom, one will not pass into nirvana in the intermediate state like the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but will strive to perfect the accumulation. This is to show that one should strive to perfect the accumulation. Why is that? Because from "like this, aspirations are not aspirations" to "the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha are not the qualities of the Buddha, because they are not dharmas either."

Sa. In the chapter entitled "Neither is Dharma, nor is it not Dharma," it explains the reason why one cannot be liberated from suffering in the bardo state without perfecting the accumulation of merit and wisdom. That is, if prayers and mindfulness, etc., truly exist in the ultimate sense, then by abandoning the unfavorable aspects of these dharmas and relying on antidotes, one can achieve liberation from suffering. However, since these dharmas and liberation from suffering itself are not regarded as truly existent in the ultimate sense, one cannot be completely liberated from suffering in the bardo state, that is the meaning. The phrase "their dharmas are also not" means that these dharmas such as prayers are not proven to be truly existent in the ultimate sense. The phrase "neither is Dharma, nor is it not Dharma" means that in the conventional sense, these dharmas such as prayers are the cause of liberation from suffering. World Honored One, in order to not grasp all dharmas, it is said that one does not grasp form, does not grasp feeling, etc., until one does not grasp the true limit, this is the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, this passage concludes by explaining the meaning of non-grasping. That is, since all dharmas of the world and beyond are not proven to be truly existent in the ultimate sense, therefore not grasping anything as real, that is the meaning of Prajnaparamita. Having thus explained non-grasping, in order to explain the proof of complete examination, World Honored One, furthermore, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, in this way, what is Prajnaparamita, etc., is spoken. The proof of complete examination is also explained in four ways, namely, what is Prajnaparamita, whose is this Prajnaparamita, what is this Prajnaparamita, and why is it called Prajnaparamita, one should examine completely in this way. Among them, the so-called examination of "what" is to examine what the nature of Prajnaparamita is like. What
