Since things are not established, the word that indicates it, or its place or basis, is also non-existent, therefore it is shown that the word called Bodhisattva has no meaning. Subhuti, for example, just like saying that there are no bird tracks in the sky, and so on. Thus, eleven examples are shown of the word Bodhisattva having no meaning. The absence of bird tracks in the sky is the first example. Just as there is no basis for the appearance of bird tracks in the sky, so too, the word Bodhisattva is not truly existent in the ultimate sense, therefore there is no basis or place for the meaning expressed by words, this is shown. Subhuti, for example, just like saying that there is no place in a dream, and so on, the eight examples of dreams, illusions, mirages, water moons, echoes, eye diseases, images, and emanations show the second example of the word Bodhisattva having no meaning. Just as dreams and so on are not truly existent, so too, the meaning of the word Bodhisattva is not existent, this is shown. Subhuti, for example, just like saying that the true limit has no place, and so on, the eight examples of the true limit, suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-different suchness, dharma-nature, dharma-dhatu-nature, dharma-sthiti-nature, and dharma-immaculate-nature show the third example of the word Bodhisattva having no meaning. Just as the true limit and so on, these unconditioned things, are not truly existent in the ultimate sense, so too, the meaning of the word Bodhisattva is not existent in the ultimate sense, this is shown. Subhuti, for example, just like saying that the form of an illusory person has no place, until Subhuti, for example, just like saying that an illusory person practices the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, the word has no meaning. Subhuti, similarly, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, the word Bodhisattva has no meaning, until the aggregates, ayatanas, dhatus, six contacts, and conditions of contact of an illusory person

The six feelings arising from conditions, and the twelve links of dependent origination within, such as ignorance, have no place to dwell. That illusory being practices the six perfections, practices the eighteen emptinesses, practices the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, practices the four noble truths, practices the four dhyanas, practices the four immeasurables, practices the four formless absorptions, practices the eight liberations, practices the nine successive abidings, practices the three doors of liberation, practices the six superknowledges, practices all the samadhis, practices the ten powers of the Tathagata, practices the four fearlessnesses, practices the four analytical knowledges, practices great love, practices great compassion, practices the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. The example of words without meaning shows the words of a Bodhisattva without meaning. This is the fourth example of the illusory being. Subhuti, for example, the form of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One has no place to dwell, and so on. Subhuti, for example, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One have no place to dwell. Why is that? Because those unshared qualities of a Buddha do not exist. Subhuti, likewise, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the words of the Bodhisattva are without meaning, and so on, the form of the Dharmakaya of the Tathagata, the five aggregates, the twelve sources, the eighteen elements, the six contacts, the six feelings arising from contact, the twelve links of dependent origination within, the six perfections, the eighteen emptinesses, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four noble truths, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations.

and, the nine successive abidings, the three doors of liberation, the six supernormal faculties, all the samādhis, all the dhāraṇī doors, the ten powers of the Tathāgata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, by the example of non-abiding, it is shown that the words of a Bodhisattva are without meaning. Just as the dharmakāya of the Tathāgata, the aggregates and other dharmas spoken of by name, do not exist, and their non-abiding, similarly it is shown that the words of a Bodhisattva are also without meaning. This is the fifth example of the dharmakāya of the Tathāgata. Subhūti, for example, in the realm of the unconditioned, there is no abiding place for the realm of the conditioned, just as in nirvāṇa there is no abiding place for saṃsāra, similarly it is shown that a Bodhisattva does not abide. This is the sixth example of the unconditioned having no conditioned. In the realm of the conditioned, there is no abiding place for the realm of the unconditioned, just as in saṃsāra there is no abiding place for nirvāṇa, similarly it is shown that a Bodhisattva also has no abiding place for bodhi. This is the seventh example of the conditioned having no unconditioned. Subhūti, for example, in the unborn there is no abiding place, and so on, Subhūti, for example, in the unapprehendable there is no abiding place. Subhūti, thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the words of a Bodhisattva are without meaning, and so on, just as the unborn, the unceasing, the undefiled and undefiled, the uncreated, the unarisen, and the unapprehendable have no abiding place, similarly it is shown that a Bodhisattva also has no meaning in words. This is the eighth example of the unborn and so on. Asked, "Bhagavan, what does not abide in the unborn," and so on, "The unshared qualities of a Buddha do not abide in the unapprehendable," and so on, the five aggregates
