It is said that Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice the six perfections with unskilled means, and so on. Among them, what is called attachment to the Dharma is clinging to the characteristics of all Dharmas. In order to clarify this, it is explained that one clings to and abides in "form is empty," and so on. It is also explained that one clings to and abides in "consciousness without aspiration." This is because the venerable Sharadvatiputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, is attached to the Dharma of unfavorable qualities, which becomes a fault. Up to this point, it means that when contemplating and meditating on the five aggregates such as form, emptiness, impermanence, suffering, selflessness, etc., one focuses on and meditates on things as existing and having characteristics, therefore it is called attachment to the Dharma. Because constancy and so on are not reversed, it is called conforming. Bodhisattvas do not cling to the characteristics of any Dharma, and practice with the reasoning of the three wheels being completely pure, but because they cling to things and characteristics, it becomes a fault, that is the meaning. The faults of Bodhisattvas are of three types: reversed views, reversed mind, and reversed perceptions. Among them, "clinging" means reversed views. "Abiding" means reversed mind. "Perception" means showing reversed perceptions. Suppose it is said that this form should be abandoned, and form is abandoned by this, and so on, until this consciousness should be abandoned, and consciousness is abandoned by this, it means that the five aggregates such as form are separated one by one, and the fault of clinging to characteristics is shown from the perspective of what should be abandoned. "Form is abandoned by this" means that the Bodhisattva who abandons abandons form by this, or that by practicing this noble path, form is abandoned, which is clinging to characteristics. Similarly, it should be connected to consciousness. It is said that this suffering should be fully known, and so on, until this path should be cultivated, and the path is cultivated by this.

The content between "should be done" is: Regarding the Four Noble Truths, suffering should be understood, origination should be abandoned, cessation should be realized, and the path should be cultivated. If one clings to these statements, it will become a fault. This is the same as what was said before. From "This is completely afflicted, this is completely purified" to "This is the faultlessness of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, this will become a fault," clinging to and abiding in these dharmas, this notion is craving for the dharmas corresponding to a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, which will become a fault. The content between "will become a fault" is: Regarding all dharmas, the perception of acceptance and rejection, and clinging, will become a fault. Among them, "This is completely afflicted" refers to greed and so on, which will become the cause of samsara. "This is completely purified" refers to mindfulness and other dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, which will become the cause of nirvana. "These dharmas should be practiced" refers to right view and faith, etc., which do not contradict the conduct of a Bodhisattva. "These dharmas should not be practiced" refers to wrong view and disbelief, etc., which contradict the conduct of a Bodhisattva. "This should be practiced by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva" refers to the perfection of generosity, etc. "This should not be practiced" refers to miserliness, etc., which are not in accordance with generosity, etc. "This is the path of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva" refers to the path of a Bodhisattva, which has two aspects: the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. Among them, the path of seeing refers to the realization of the completely pure realm of dharma as it is in the first bhumi. The path of cultivation refers to repeatedly familiarizing oneself with the realm of dharma as it is realized in the second bhumi and so on. "This is not the path" refers to the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations of knowledge, etc., which are not in accordance with the aforementioned path of a Bodhisattva. "This is a Bo
