From "one should train in going to the other shore," why is that? Because from this Prajñāpāramitā, the three vehicles that Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas, Śrāvakas, and Pratyekabuddhas should constantly and continuously train in are extensively shown. The benefits are also fourfold: completely understanding the dharmas to be completely understood, abandoning what is to be abandoned, completely perfecting what is to be completely perfected, and making manifest what is to be made manifest by obtaining it. Among them, from "Bhagavan, because of wishing to completely understand form" to "Bhagavan, a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who wishes to completely understand strife should train in Prajñāpāramitā," it refers to knowing the five aggregates, the eighteen elements, the twelve sense bases, and the twelve links of dependent origination as they truly are, which are to be known in the nature of conventional and ultimate truth, and knowing these as they truly are is the benefit of striving in Prajñāpāramitā. From "Bhagavan, a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who wishes to abandon desire should train in Prajñāpāramitā" to "A Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who wishes to abandon the ten unwholesome paths of action should train in Prajñāpāramitā," it refers to abandoning the dharmas to be abandoned that belong to the side of afflictions such as desire, and this is the benefit of a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva striving in Prajñāpāramitā. Among them, desire, hatred, and ignorance are the root of all afflictions and all unwholesome things, therefore they should be abandoned. The so-called "view of the perishable collection" refers to grasping the five aggregates, which are aggregates of perishable nature, as self and belonging to self in a selfless object. The so-called "doubt" refers to having doubts about karma, fruit, truth, and the Three Jewels, etc. The so-called "holding to ethics and vows" refers to the three actions of the body, such as killing, and lying, etc.

Etc., is the characteristic of abandoning the four faults of speech, which is discipline. Asceticism refers to the asceticism of mountain deer and livestock, as well as sleeping on ashes, keeping a bun of hair, etc., which are the ascetic practices of non-Buddhists. With these disciplines and asceticism, they cling to liberation, do not practice other virtuous deeds, and think that these themselves are supreme, thus feeling complacent about them. The so-called desire and malice refer to the desire and anger of the desire realm. The so-called form desire refers to the desire of the form realm, clinging to the taste of meditation and samadhi. The so-called formless desire refers to clinging to the bliss of the four attainments of the formless realm. The so-called pervasive bond refers to the nine pervasive bonds, namely attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, views, discipline, ascetic pride, stinginess, doubt, and jealousy. Because these bind and fetter beings in samsara, they are called pervasive bonds. The so-called latent tendencies refer to the seven latent tendencies, namely desire attachment, anger, desire for the form and formless realms, pride, ignorance, views, and doubt. When these have not manifested and are very subtle, they arise and increase from the unmanifest latent tendencies, and follow the three actions of body, speech, and mind, so they are called latent tendencies. The so-called pervasive arising refers to the ten pervasive arisings, namely torpor, sleep, excitement, regret, jealousy, stinginess, shamelessness, lack of embarrassment, anger, and dissipation. These disturb the mind, and from the cracks arise afflictions such as desire, so they are called pervasive arisings. The so-called four foods are solid food, contact food, mental food, and consciousness food. Among them, solid food refers to, for example, the food eaten by mouth by humans and gods in the desire realm. Contact food refers to, for example, birds and turtles that are born from eggs, relying on the warmth of their mother's body to survive.

is food. Intentional food is like this: for example, in times of famine, parents hang a bag of ashes on a pillar and say to their two young children, 'We will return and make zanba from this flour to give to you. Until then, stay here without crying.' The parents leave the two children at home and go to other places to find food. The two children think, 'We have flour for food,' and they hope and think about it. Even without eating the flour, they can live for a long time, just like that. Consciousness as food refers to the consciousness of the gods in the form and formless realms. By practicing meditation and samadhi, they experience the taste of bliss and do not need other food to survive. The four bonds are: the bond of desire, the bond of existence, the bond of views, and the bond of ignorance. Among them, the bond of desire refers to the afflictions such as desire in the desire realm, except for views and ignorance. The bond of existence refers to the afflictions such as desire in the form and formless realms, except for views and ignorance. The bond of views refers to the five: the view of the aggregates, the view of extremes, wrong views, the view of holding views as supreme, and the view of holding precepts and vows as supreme. The bond of ignorance refers to the ignorance of the three realms. These afflictions bind sentient beings to the three realms, the six realms, and the four births, therefore it is called a bond. The four rivers refer to: these four bonds themselves carry sentient beings to the three lower realms, therefore they are like rivers and are called rivers. The four knots refer to: attachment, malice, the view of holding precepts and vows as supreme, and the view of holding views as supreme. These afflictions bind sentient beings and prevent them from being liberated, therefore they are called knots. The four clingings refer to: clinging to desire, clinging to views, clinging to holding precepts and vows as supreme, and clinging to the assertion of self. Among them, clinging to desire is:
