Those who have transcended evil deeds and possess wisdom that is unattached and unobstructed are said to possess unobstructed fearlessness. To understand the way to correctly understand the inexhaustible teachings, it is said that one possesses unobstructed fearlessness in the order mentioned above. For sentient beings, those who have inexhaustible means of teaching the Dharma possess the qualities of being extremely skilled. "Playing with great psychic powers" refers to how those Bodhisattvas who are skilled in teaching the Dharma are skilled in the cause of teaching the Dharma. In order to benefit sentient beings, one will attain the six psychic powers through the power of meditation and samadhi. With these six psychic powers, doing various things to benefit sentient beings is called playing with great psychic powers. The reason for saying "great" is that it is superior in power and merit to the psychic powers of the world, as well as the psychic powers of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The six psychic powers are the divine eye, the divine ear, the knowledge of magical actions, the knowledge of the minds of others, the knowledge of remembering past lives, and the knowledge of the exhaustion of outflows. Among them, the divine eye can see the good and evil deeds of sentient beings in the ten directions of the world and do things that are in accordance with them. The divine ear can hear the sounds of suffering and displeasure of sentient beings in hell, animals, hungry ghosts, and humans, thereby eliminating their suffering. The knowledge of magical actions can transform various forms of body and speech, as well as transform various objects, to match the minds of sentient beings and benefit them. The knowledge of the minds of others can know the thoughts of other sentient beings, thereby knowing their thoughts, habits, and faculties as they are, and teaching the Dharma in accordance with these to benefit them. The knowledge of remembering past lives can recall the places where sentient beings lived and were born in their previous lives, as well as what they did.

With wisdom, accordingly, benefiting beings by teaching the Dharma, etc., the great and rare deeds of the Bodhisattvas in the past, I remember and repeat to beings, causing beings to generate faith, and for those with views of permanence and annihilation, telling the causes of previous lives, thus liberating them from views of permanence and annihilation. By knowing the exhaustion of defilements, the Bodhisattva truly knows the exhaustion of his own and others' defilements. He also knows whether his own and others' defilements are exhausted. He also knows the methods for exhausting his own and others' defilements. Thus, after the Bodhisattva truly knows all of this, he himself also attains the exhaustion of defilements. The Bodhisattva, with this wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, even if he dwells with the defiled dharmas, will not be defiled by these dharmas. Thus, with these six superknowledges, performing various deeds to benefit beings, it is called playing with great superknowledge. The so-called extremely undiminished superknowledge means that even if the Bodhisattvas are reborn, these six superknowledges will not diminish. These six superknowledges will never be cut off for the Bodhisattvas in all lifetimes. Even if reborn as animals hundreds of times, they will not diminish or be cut off, therefore it is called extremely undiminished superknowledge. The so-called having words worthy of being listened to means that the Bodhisattva who possesses the six superknowledges mainly aims to benefit beings. Those beings who are benefited also naturally generate joy towards the Bodhisattva, therefore they will listen to the Bodhisattva's teachings. The Bodhisattva's instructions and teachings, even for the sake of life, will not be violated, therefore it is called having words worthy of being listened to. Another explanation is that the Bodhisattva in the past benefited beings with the four means of gathering, such as generosity and loving speech, with the power of merit and the Bodhicitta.
