Believing in happiness, the existence of self, and existing in the nature of non-peace, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas believe that form is impermanent, is suffering, is without self, and exists in peaceful things. It has been shown that such discriminations do not arise in those Bodhisattvas who practice the Prajnaparamita and learn the teachings. From "Form, it should not be truly seen as emptiness" to "Form, it should not be truly seen as wishlessness," it shows that there will be no discrimination against the three doors of liberation and their opposing categories. The heretics think that form is not empty, has characteristics, and has wishes. The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas think that form is emptiness, without characteristics, and without wishes. It has been shown that Bodhisattvas do not have such discriminations. From "Form, it should not be truly seen as conditioned" to "Form, it should not be truly seen as Nirvana," it shows that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have discriminations about the opposing categories of antidotes to the dharmas. Bodhisattvas learn that all dharmas are merely imputed, and those who abide in diligence do not arise. When the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas discriminate against the dharmas, they discriminate against the opposing categories of things, that is, they think that form is conditioned, is completely defiled, is birth, is not solitary, is not virtuous, is with faults, is with outflows, is with afflictions, is worldly, is samsara. Discriminating against its antidote, that is, discriminating that it is unconditioned, is purified, is cessation, is solitary, is virtuous, is without faults, is without outflows, is without afflictions, is transcendental, is Nirvana. It has been shown that Bodhisattvas learn that all dharmas are merely imputed and taught, and these discriminations do not arise. Like form, feeling, thought,

consciousness, etc. The five aggregates, the twelve sense bases, and the eighteen elements, as well as the contact arising from the aggregation of the elements, and the feelings arising from the condition of contact, etc., for these unfavorable and favorable aspects, distinguishing them as real objects, this only happens to the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Bodhisattvas understand all phenomena as merely imputed, and this does not occur to those who are exhorted to diligence, and it is also shown that they do not truly observe feelings as feelings. Why is that? When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, that Perfection of Wisdom, that Bodhisattva, and the name of that Bodhisattva, are not truly observed to exist in the conditioned realm. Nor are they truly observed to exist in the unconditioned realm, as has been shown above. Just as for phenomena such as aggregates, elements, and sense bases, there is no distinguishing of unfavorable and favorable aspects as real objects, similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom, the Bodhisattva, and the name of the Bodhisattva are also conventionally designated as mere expressions and designations, thereby exhorting diligence, but in ultimate reality, they also do not give rise to the distinction of existing in the conditioned and unconditioned realms, or existing in the nature of the conditioned and unconditioned, that is its meaning. Subhuti, why is that? Because when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not think or distinguish all those phenomena, from that sentence until Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he should understand the establishment of names and designatable phenomena, up to this point, the reason for not generating distinctions is shown. Not thinking or distinguishing all those phenomena refers to not thinking or distinguishing the unfavorable and favorable aspects of the real objects for the phenomena mentioned above, such as aggregates and elements.

It means that when he practices Prajñāpāramitā, he abides in the Dharma of non-discrimination, and practices Prajñāpāramitā in order to cultivate the four mindfulnesses. This is because the Bodhisattva does not truly and accurately see all Dharmas as they are, so he abides in the Dharma of non-discrimination, and in order to mature sentient beings in the mundane world, he merely establishes names and concepts, so he practices Prajñāpāramitā in order to cultivate the four mindfulnesses. It means that apart from attending to all-knowingness, even Prajñāpāramitā itself is not accurately seen as it is. Like this, when practicing Prajñāpāramitā in order to cultivate the four mindfulnesses, one only attends to attaining all-knowingness in the mundane world, but apart from that, Prajñāpāramitā and so on are not accurately seen as they are in the ultimate sense, which is what is to be shown. Similarly, from cultivating the right abandonment onwards, it should be applied up to cultivating the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha. When the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices Prajñāpāramitā, he thoroughly understands the Dharma nature of all Dharmas, which means that not truly and accurately seeing Prajñāpāramitā and so on as they are is to understand and comprehend the ultimate nature of all Dharmas well. What is the nature of all Dharmas? It is that which will not be defiled by afflictions, nor will it become purified, which means that understanding the ultimate nature of all Dharmas, because the nature is originally pure, it will not be defiled by afflictions even in the time of ordinary beings, nor will it become purified even in the time of noble beings, because suchness does not change its nature. Subhuti, therefore, when the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices Prajñāpāramitā, he should comprehend the Dharma established by names and concepts, which means like this.
